dude, we know you are a carr fan, you don't have to remind us every post of every texans thread. I didn't say the game was carr's fault, but the team only scored 3 second half points, everyone's to blame. you go into carr defend mode, line bash mode before anyone even says anything. that's all you freakin posted about in the entire thread. are you on his payroll?

It wouldn't matter who the interim (off the current staff) is cause there's going to be house cleaning when the new coach from the outside is hired.

I think I dislike Capers more than Jimy Williams.

A perfect example of how to lose and make it look like you were trying to win

I can't believe so many people think Desmond Howard...er, uh, Reggie Bush is going to help this team.

Actually, I thought most of my posts were about how horrible the defense was.... and yet when we lose, posts are made bashing Carr.

I'm not a Carr "fan"... I'm just sick of him getting all the blame when things go wrong, and ZERO credit when he actually has a decent game. Also, I started my defense of him this year because people were advocating for Matt Leinert... and even you know now that this team needs much more than that, and any other QB on this team would not amount to that much more than what we're getting from Carr already, and would set our progress back even more than it already is.

Even with an o-line, this team will still have a terrible defense. I'm now advocating for simply getting rid of the entire coaching staff, GM, and just simply start stockpiling draft picks and find somebody who can build a winner.

Finally, I never went out hunting for an argument with you... you simply jumped at the opportuny once the game was over to ridicule my posts. I can say just as much that you are "anti-Carr, all the time" as you may think I am a "carr fan"... so any other bickering by you is purely hypocritical at best.

And who would you pick? Furgeson? After seeing him get abused against VT I'm not so sure he could either.

And I was not one of them either... I supported the T-mac trade because it was a great opportunity that we could not pass up (I recognized that we really weren't giving up that much, if T-Mac could just play defense like he did in Toronto... which he did). But, when Steve was here... I also thought then that the guy got far too much criticism.

The NFL is, however, different. Its rarely ever the fault of "one guy". Joe Montana isn't going to turn this team around if he's the one under center. I'd rather more time/effort be spent fixing the real problems on this team.

I don't think anybody was expecting the defense to be this bad, especially after we've invested 3 #1 picks into it (Babin, Robinson, Johnson)... and some more extra picks in Buchannon. I guess we simply underestimated this bunch.

Great posts Nick. I feel the same way man, he is getting flammed by others. And I don't think all the criticism is warranted.

Francis had personality issues that David Carr doesn't have. Francis was a prima donna who was selfish on the court and was amongst the league leaders in technical fouls. And who can forget when he dissed the team plane to Phoenix to go to the Super Bowl? He also refused to play in Vancouver before he even started his career. Francis represented everything that is wrong with the modern athlete. Carr is the exact opposite -- a humble man of good character -- who by the way almost had 300 yards worth of passing today.
