Well, I have a huge paper due on Tuesday so I had to stay behind while my family went up to Dallas for Thanksgiving. Sitting here alone on Turkey Day, I'm really starving and have nothing to eat here at the house. So, I was wondering if people could list places that they have noticed are still open today. I know I could just go driving around, but I'd rather have at least some idea where I'm going.

So, what places have you seen that are open? Fast food, sit-down restaurant, grocery store, any place that has food.

I just had a great meal at Fung's Kitchen (or is it Fung's Garden) on 59 near Bellaire. I also saw a Whataburger open on Fondren.

I've seen quite a few places open today. Boston Market over here off of Westheimer near the Beltway is open.

Pretty much any asian restaurants (including Indian and Pakistani) should be open today, including dinner.

    Thanks for the replies.

I just went to Luby's and got some stuff. I also noticed that Whataburger, IHOP, and Black Eyed Pea are all open. Kroger also appeared to be open. These are all 45 south @ Fuqua locations, in case anyone else happens to be looking for some food today.

On my way to work today, I noticed that there were four places open:
    1. Golden Corral
    2. Denny's
    3. the movie theatre
    4. a strip club

Most places were pretty packed, but I found it odd that the busiest was the strip club. People were parking in the grass at this place.

My business brought in Luby's for us poor folks who drew the short stick again this year. The only thing that's gone is the mashed potatoes. There are like three things of yams left...they are super scary looking. No one has touched th pumpkin pie, either. We all wanted Boston Market, but a person who isn't even working today got to pick the place AND the menu. Not only did we get stuck working, but we got dinner swimming in grease. Yummy!

For future reference, Asian places are your best bet on holidays.
