Trade MIke James,Trade Mike JAMES , is all the haters cried all summer.Keep Sura and trade MIke James.OK you haters you got your Sura,a losing team going nowhere and plate of crow to eat.The MJ trade is one of the main reasons the Rockets are in this freefall. With T-Mack out we have no one who can create their own shot. You cried he shoots to much and looks to score before passing. Now the whole team passes up open shots are affraid to shoot.I've watched player after player pass up open shots. And lets don't even get into toughness,do you really think Mike James would let guard after guard drive through the lane without getting a hard foul and a little lip service to discourage the thought of doing it again.Of all the good moves CD made over the summer,he screws it all up on the first day of trainning camp !You Haters be careful what you wish for and by the way you seemed to have crawled back into the cracks and creavices like roaches. I don't never read about you revisting your great idea about to dump Mike James.
Your post seems in direct contradiction to your sig. When TMac comes back and is dominating the ball in the offense, I will not miss Mike James one bit. I'd rather have TMac taking shots than Mike James thinking he's the focal point of the office.
I still like the trade too. You have to risk to go to the top, and we were losing James after this season for his payday. Sure, Alston hasn't gotten the hang of things yet, but he's an amazing talent, and will eventually fit. We needed a true point, who could pass it into Yao. We have that now. He's an emotional player, and not used to the level of discipline that JVG requires. I believe he'll adjust, and step it up to a new level he's never played before. Patience ...
yea it look likes it would be better to have him now with tmac out but with tmac on the team, rafer is the better choice even if hes struggling right now, itll come back
How about judging a trade's merit based on how your team finishes the season rather than how they play in the first 12 games without a first team all NBAer.
I feel the Rockets will play better once T-Mack returns, but will we always be a T-Mack injury away from being a lottery team, maybe signing Mike James would have been a good investment. We've been in most of the games we lost,I just feel with MJ we could be in my opinion at least 8 and 4 or better in the win/lost catagory.
Who cares? The deal is done. Why sit here and b**** and moan about it? It won't change anything. I'm not sure it was worth giving up Cassell, Horry and co. for Charles Barkley. I think we should have drafted Rashard Lewis with at least one of our three first round picks. Why didn't we trade Ralph Sampson to Portand for Clyde Drexler and the second pick in the draft (which could have been Jordan) - according to Hakeem that deal was on the table . Why did we ever draft Eddie Griffin? I think the jury is still out on this trade, so to try and throw it back in the people that supported the trade's faces is quite premature at this point.
IMO, the jury is still out on the trade. We cant just bury the front office after 12 games. The Rockets have not had a chance to get healthy and play together. That being said, if Sura is done we could be in trouble.
Still a good trade. Rafer will come around. Can't expect a point guard to learn all the x's and o's of Van Gundy's offense overnight. James is a ball hog and a team killer. Yeah, he's top scorer with Toronto, but they have only won 1 game. Big frieking deal.
I guess moronic trade don't take holidays off. How many games has Rafer played? This trade can be graded at the end of the season...
My point exactly,How many more bad moves did you leave out, what about getting Moochie back,Charlie Ward,Dan Langhi,ect.,ect. for every good move CD makes,he makes two bad ones
I think it was a bad trade...We NEED SCORING!!! I cant emphasize this enough...Without Tmac we have a HARD time breaking the 80 pt margin, the last thing we needed to do was trade a legit scorer (Mike James) for a passing/cant score PG (Alston)

The Duquesne alum missed all seven shots, had three turnovers and zero points. That may explain why the lowly Raps posted a season-low 66 points in the loss to the Grizz."
