I think the only ones I would go for would be Deng or PJ. I really like Deng, and comments above about him are very true. Young, talented, and plays with heart!
Can any of these guys actually shoot? If so, bring em on. With Yao in the middle anybody you put on the floor can get open shots, you just have to be able to knock them down.
Yep. In my opinion Miles turns us into a championship juggernaut on par with MJ and the Bulls. Maybe he will cuss out Nate?
Sarcasm noted. Our team can't shoot; Miles wouldn't help much in that regard, so I look at what he CAN do. Besides getting coaches fired, that is. I just think our roster is still a bit unbalanced. Lots of shooting guards, no depth at the 3.
Deng would be an *AWESOME* addition, but there's no way we can put together anything remotely attractive enough for the Bulls. I'm a big PJ Brown fan, and his price tag would be much cheaper. But Howard would have to be involved, and I doubt NO/OK would be interested. Randolph is a great fantasy guy, but just a horrible team basketball player. Same with Miles. Their contracts reek, too.
PJ Brown - overpaid but a great guy to play with Yao: solid post D, good rebounding, nice midrange shot. Hard to justify a combined $19 million in salary for one position (PF). Planinic - PG that can't run the offense. Athletic with a dangerous shot but limited D. Not JVG's type in the slightest. Randolph - Cancer. Overpaid with devotion only to his touches and stat lines. Sorry work ethic. Miles - Cancer. Also supremely self-centered. These two are exactly what Van Gundy was referring to earlier when he said no knuckleheads would join the roster. Luke Jackson - I'd be interested. Rookie contracts are minimal risk, and this guy is fairly versatile. Has gotten zero PT, clouding the issue. Pavlovic - Poor man's Pike. Snow - 5 years ago, he'd be a wonderful add-on. Now he's washed up with a poisonous contract. Deng - the Bulls aren't trying to dump him. He's a bargaining chip for an enticing trade, not a give-away for expiring deals. Evan
