    Dear Bob,

Please heal up quickly for our team desperately needs your on court presence as soon as humanly possible.

    Sincerely,
    Drewdog

Does anyone know when Sura is going to come back this season or if at all?

No doubt we need his energy and fire.....Luther has it, but he is too young to ignite the rest.

I hope Sura's career is not really over.

Wow, what the hell is wrong w/ Rafer?

We really need Sura back - his scoring, rebounding, passing, tenacity, another Jon Barry....

I miss Sura too. Amazing the intangibles that he brings to the team. The grit, the rebounding. Somebody that could get into the paint and draw contact to get to the FT line. We miss those things.

We havent heard much about how his injuries are healing so I take that as a bad sign. :(

I never thought I would say this, but I miss him too:) It's painful to see all those long rebounds were gone to the opposite team. I knew Sura was all hustle and energy, but I have to admit that I really underestimated his value. Gosh, I miss him!

Do we know if he is DEFINITELY out for the season?

The guy just plays hard.... something that I think rubbed off on alot of our players last year. :(

I was deleting some files from my computer last night and when I got around to some of my Rockets stuff I stumbled upon Game 2 of the Dallas series. With the way the Rockets have played this season, I decided to watch a few minutes of it and see how much better they looked back then.

When the video started and I was reminded not only in exaggerated recollection, but in visual proof, just how important Bobby is to this team. In the first 2 minutes of the game, he was everywhere. He pushed the ball on the break. He hustled to disrupt a Dallas posession at half-court and nearly caused a turnover. He crashed the boards. In particular I noticed that he crashed them when Yao was shooting. Anyone else notice that when Yao shoots this season we have zero offensive rebounding? Bob Sura notices, I know that much.

People who discount Bob's importance to this team are stubborn and just can't look past the fact that he's a "slow, aging white guy that can't even shoot". I'm sorry but even relying on rock solid stats to bash the guy is dumb. Make me a list real quick of all the guys in the league that give you 10+/5+/5+ with a steal. Then shorten that list to guys that have Bob's heart and fire, and off the top of my head that list probably dwindles to two guys: Kevin Garnett and Bob Sura.

Rockets are a lot more fun to watch with Sura in there. His drives to the basket are hard to defend and changes the Rockets game considerably. He just happens to have a set of skills we almost entirely lack. The only other player we have that can effectively catch a pass and drive the basket is Tmac.

    Sura makes us far better.

I'd throw Dwayne Wade in there too, but yeah, I see what you mean. Man, Bob is sorely missed 'round here. I think we're getting closer though. Last night's starting lineup, with T-Mac instead of Bowen, may be the one that finally gets us somewhere. (Yes, I'm taking J-Ho over Stro)

I'd rather have a healthy Tmac.

luther will really benefit from watching bob when (if) he comes back. I think luther needs to see first hand how hard work on the court can payoff.

We do miss Bob. 10-5-5 with his fire and competitive nature is almost impossible to replace. He has a way of lifting the whole teams spirit and getting the rockets into the offensive sets better than our other PG's. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet though is that probably the Rockets biggest problem, outside shooting, is Sura's weakest feature. His toughness and intangibles make up for it, but our other guards will still need to shoot better in order for this team to turn it around. With that being said, I think the Rockets will be much better once Sura gets back, maybe not at first, but for sure after he shakes the rust off. Hopefully T-Mac will be 100% too when Sura is ready to go.

Without Sura, we are a soft team even with a healthy Tmac.

Me too man. Mee too. I miss Sura soooo much.

We miss everything this Mr. Doitall brings. His rebounding, and tenacity the most. I'm really getting sick of see other teams getting so many fricking offensive rebounds, that I am sure Sura would have had in his hands.

Funny to recall the poll where so many people wanted RA to start over Sura. Man, what a disapointment he has been. I didn't know much about him at all, never saw him play before. But he sounded like he was going to be good, not an over the hill guy with out production.

I really hope he comes back, and if he does. I believe the target time they said for Sura to return was in January.

As I've stated before, by January, we should have all our pieces together once again and healthy. The team will be producing like they haven't at all this season then. January will be a HOT month for the Rockets.

    Book it.

    Sad and disapointed
