How many draft picks do we have next year? We need a PF or a center. Unfortunately, the draft is real thin at those positions. How much is Hakeem gonna count against to cap?

well there's Brendan Haywood and Chris Mnihm. They're both really good centers that we could use.

Hakeem will count between $12-$14 Mil whether he plays or not.

We don't need a centre in the draft, we will need a PF.

And just for the record all that debate earlier this month about whether the 1st round pick that we sent to Vancouver in the Francis trade was lottery protected - I think it was the same pick we received from Orlando in the same trade.(and given Orlando's current strategy, you would have to assume that it was lottery protected)

I believe we have 3 picks this summer. (correct me if I am wrong.)

*We have the Turkcan pick...can't remember who that is from..
*We have the Orlando pick, which I think is actually Phoenix's pick...
*And we have our pick, which we can send to Vancouver either this year, next year, or the year after.

So, in all probability, we will probably end up picking 3 times this summer.

I would use all 3 picks to shore up the frontcourt. Use the lottery pick on Terance Morris or Chris Porter (if they are still there when we are picking), and use the other two to pick up some long-bodied, shot-blocking, run-the-floor defenders.
