48 points at the end of third quarter for a team that features Tmac, Yao and Swift.

I don't know or care whose fault it is. The players dont seem to hitting shots, but Van Gundy is also not helping by refusing to zone up or starting Swift and Luther. Maybe Tmac is playing hurt and that is the reason we are sucking.

This team is worse then the beginning of last year. Freakin no fire whatsoever.

I cant be the only one who actually grimaces on every offensive possession. Once again I don't really look forward to Rockets games anymore. Because I now the end result will piss me off.

Anybody can think of anything more boring to watch then a Rockets game?

I don't know about ya'll - but this was the first full game in a week or so I've been able catch, I this is hard to watch. Roll your eyes at this thread all you want, but the guy has a point.

This is a boring team that plays the NBA's version of the West Coast offense, drags the game on until the very end to the point where even if they've outplayed the other team, they're still only up by like 8. And to top off an unbearable 40 minutes of basketball, they play aweful don the stretch and lose the game (although that wasn't necessary against Boston).

    Bingo!!!

I dont know what it is with Gundy, but he is freakin stubborn as a mother. Why he is not starting Swift and Luther is beyond me. Howard is washed up, DA is sucking and Rafer or Wesley cant to shoot worth a crap.

Uh, did you catch the game? Wesley was one of the few bright spots. Lets at least keep our criticism up to date.

Besides, its not van Gundy's fault that two of our new supposed starters seem to have forgotten how to play basketball over the summer and that our superstar is playing at about 9.25% of his normal ability.

Considering we only seem to be playing with 3 legit NBA players at any given time this season, its remarkable that we've been able to hang as close as we have with the Spurs and Pistons.

the last two games have been so boring it reminds me exactly of last year when it seemed like the team was playing with no emotion and half the players seem to have to clue as to what is happening in our offense.

The first part was exciting with the new lineup. I think that should be it always except for Bowen. I think Head should be the PG insteead of Wesley but he needs to be starter to have his confidence back like what he did tonight.

I think the Rockets are thinking too much. One of the Espn commentators [btw I find Bill Walton very annoying] mentioned that it was their opinion that Van Gundy is over coaching.

I think that you can never over-coach on the defensive end but they might have a point in regards to the offensive sets. The players are being too methodical on offense and maybe that is why the game may seem boring to some.

I hate to say this, but the rox have been boring ever since the big trade last year. I miss those motherf***ers and those alley oops, steve breaking ankles, cat hitting clutch 3's. I love the rockets to death, but for the last year and this season, the rockets have been a very boring team.

    P.S.
I still disagree with the trade(Yall can talk all the sh!th yall want, but I know yall miss the good ol days.)

Exactly how many games and playoff series did Francis and Mobley win pre JVG? Excellence is not always exciting. It takes discipline to be great. You don't see the Spurs alley oop and showboat, but they win games. Francis couldn't make a pass unless it was an alleyoop. It wasn't exciting, they were the deficiencies of a PG. Besides, JVG said he doesn't want to coach knuckleheads anymore. It wouldn't have worked.

If you miss the good old days, you can watch the Hawks. They play helter skelter fast break bball just like the 98-02 Rockets.

    You're right...they are almost unwatchable.

David Wesley at point is almost looks like Mark Jackson on speed - and that ain't saying much.

Truth is, we are missing terribly what Sura brought: passion, urgency, getting into the lane, toughness, pushing the ball, and rebounding. When he finally shook his injuries last year, the team soared!

I'm disappointed in both Alston and DA...don't know what I was expecting, but it was more than we've seen so far. That being said, we were 6-11 last year before things clicked, so I'll hold out some hope.

Personally, I'd like to see Luther Head thrown into the PG slot and just let him learn as he goes. From what I've seen, he looks like a keeper and brings the quickness and toughness, we need...and he has no fear. And I'd also let Stromile learn the same way. We're not going very far this unless they develop their games.

TMac injuries aside, we're lost puppies right now.
