Houston 4.0 we need to start winning again. yao needs to get out of foul trouble, if he can avoid the bs calls against him and hopefully tmac gets better, sura returns as soon as possible if he's returning.....and hopefully we start winning again.
Unless TMac gets fully healed and back in shape and JVG starts working miracles with the PERSONEL HE TRADED FOR, it might be something we will need to get used to. Certainly not what any of us expected. I really don't believe the problems we are seeing are a matter of "adjustments." People keep thinking it is like last year, it's not.
I think we are fine. A slow start is expected with new additions and TMac's injury. I saw lots of positives in last night's game. Swift played better, Wesley played a lot better, and Yao shows progress in aggressiveness this season, and he only needs to manage the degree and give refs time to adjust his play. When TMac is back 100%, we will be launching.
I still believe in this team; that said, my first time ever investment in NBA League pass isn't looking like the distinguished mental prowess I had hoped for.
Every player on the team is in a shooting slump except maybe Juwan Howard and Luther Head. At some point, law of averages say they will come back at some point.
Guess we need to bring back the lottery simulator back, huh? Someone start a thread about who we should draft with our projected top 3 pick. Evan
If they're still one of the worst teams in the West a month from now, that might not be a bad idea. Too bad their next 2 games are in Indy and Dallas(with T-Mac hurt again). Things are gonna get worse before they get better.
Wow! Another poor start by the Rockets and folks here are at each other's throats. It's deja vu all over again! Turn back the clock to the summer and the tone on this board certainly was different. THEN, there was much love around here because we signed Swift, DA and shipped out Mike James for Skip. Funny how said love affair lasted only until folks here got to see how these guys actually looked on the court. Now, after only NINE games, I'm reading calls for even more trades to "fix" the Rockets. In truth, no one here should be surprised at the current state of events because this has been the Rockets MO for sometime now. As I've posted before, the personnel and draft mistakes of the past have finally caught up with this team. For sometime now, there has been severe problems at the guard and forward positions that continue to be a sore spot on the court. I believe that the reasons for this situation lie with this organization's continued policy of trying to build a contending team by picking up castoffs from other teams rather than by drafting better players. I simply don't believe that they will ever be able to turn things around until this organization gets someone in here who is better at finding and evaluating NBA talent. Until that happens (read not this year), we all might as well get used to riding the merry-go-round known as the Houston Rockets.
I guess we'll have to wait until next year to win the Bob Pettit trophy for best record after 9 games.
Geez, I think I'm gonna slit my throat. According to you, Leslie Alexander should just sell the team and close up shop. Well I'm gonna ignore your doomsday stance. Based on what we saw last season, this team is even better positioned. I'm not giving up on this season just yet like you apprarently have.
Amen, finally someone who gets that the season is 82 games long, not 9. No team wins anything for being the best team after 9 games.
