He's getting a lot of bad calls, and even more bad non calls, but the last one was a foul, the not a foul I want Yao to take at that time since it was his last, but the kind of foul I want Yao to start taking.

Hakeem described similiar things in his book. He would tell of how people hit him on the elbow when faded away with no call (and refs straight up told him he should be strong enough to finish  ) or that they wouldn't call dirty plays by opposing players guarding him.

Hakeem described one game in particular where a guy was playing him dirty, the refs weren't calling it, yet calling the ticky tack foul on Hakeem. Hakeem said he argue with the refs to no avail, his solution, one play then the court, he elbow the f*** out of the defender in the mouth (it's being a while, but I think Hakeem said described to be quite an elbow). I think Hakeem also said that the guy didn't play as dirty rest of the game.

Yao needs to start doing that and start taking matter in his own hands when the refs aren't officiating fairly. I like his aggressiveness this year, but he trully is getting BS calls this year. He needs make the defenders know, "ok, the refs are not doing there job, but if you don't keep it within reasonable cleaniness, you are not walking away from this game healthy".

No way Yao's going to do that. It's just not in him.

Really? I hated it! They still had a chance, maybe small chance but still a chance to win the game, after he went out it was game over.

From the replay it sorta looked like he tripped and as a result, his elbow met Wallace's face. I would've loved for it to have been intentional though.

I thought the elbow came just before he stepped (and as a result tripped)over Wallace's foot...?

Absolutely agree, and I think that Yao thinks that he shouldn't do this because he should "not play dirty" no matter what the opposition is doing. However, perhaps encouraging the cheater by allowing no repercussions is even worse because it is at the expense of the team, and Yao should defend himself.

I loved it too! Principle: GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH!

If the refs are going to call phantom fouls on you, give them some REAL fouls to call.

I will tell you this, if I am 7'6" and 300+ pounds, no one will ever dunk on me, ever. I will introduce them to MR. PAIN every time. What are flagrant fouls for? Learn from Mutombo, when he lifts his elbows, players duck. :D

In the past when Yao was getting bad calls and people complained on this board, I've always being with the party that said Yao just needs to be more aggressive that some of it was his fault.

Well now he is aggressive and still getting those crappy calls, I mean wtf. He needs go out and just start lay down the law. He can use his 1st - 4th foul to do this. If it's gonna happen any ways, get your money's worth.

I said I didn't like the situation which that foul happened, but I do like the foul in my first post.

Lastly, I will still concede that big men are hard to official (Hakeem said it, Shaq said it, watching the games, I know it's true). However, if Yao use his fouls early to send a message, even if he has 5 fouls, unless he does something very blatant, the refs aren't going to foul him out. I remember the SAC - LA series, one game Shaq was getting some pretty bad calls early (Vlade flopping when Shaq backs down, etc) but when Shaq picked up his 5 th foul, Phil kept him int he game, and the ref swallowed their whistle on every borderline play. The same will happen for Yao (I hope, or Yao needs to throw soem rocket passes out of the post near ref's heads).

great foul by yao! if only he would've done than in the first half instead of at the end of the game.

he may not have it in him to purposely hurt someone who is playing him unfairly but he is showing a lot more emotion when bad calls are made.
