There was nothing to rebound, the Spurs were making their shots. Yao played well in the frist half but having 1 point in the second half doesnt mean he didn't play well. The plays were for Tmac, but he didn't delivery in the first half though.

I think the difference last night was the energy. Spurs were more motivated as always to play harder. They ahve a point guard that can highly influence the tempo of the game offesively. The only player we have who does the same thing is Sura. His energy is what we lack.

You want to blame it on Yao's poor rebounding, thats fine but please don't say "Thats the game right there". Do you ever focus on other flaws such as team chemistry, poor shooting and poor defensive rotation, or do you just solely focus on what Yao did wrong and not what the team did wrong? Hey I could pick on T-Mac and say "he didn't show up in the first half and shot a poor 8-22, thats the game right there", but I won't say that b/c I know there's more to the lost then just blaming it on what one player did on the court. I could list about 10 things that we could do to win the game and Yao's lack of rebounding is defenitely not one of them.

The only thing I hope Yao could have done it better yesterday is when he was double teamed, he should have forced some shot, I mean it's not like he cannot make it, after all, one of the guys doubling him is a shorter guard, as long as he hold the ball above his head, there is not much the short guy can do about it except for maybe a better chance to go to the line.

Another improvement I have seen Yao this year is his foot work. I have seen quite a few times in previous games he sliced two defenders with his foot work and made jump shots out of nothing. I wonder why he didn't do that in the 2nd half.

I am not blaming him for passing out the rock in double team situation, and that's usually how it should be played, but when the guards' open shots not falling, he probably should have taken a little bit more onto himselves.

Actually I tend to disagree. We don't get defensive rebounds, because we don't box out. Also because many players don't go after rebounds. We don't get offensive rebounds because our guards run to the opposite end of the court and take ill-advised shots before the rest of the team can set up.

Are you serious? Do you know many over-the-back and loose ball fouls he'll pick up?? Then you'll probably complain about his getting into foul trouble.

Yes I remember last year. It turned out to be a great year after the 6-11 start.

I just have not seen it this year. I sure hope they turn it around...but then again...it's probably just a matter of time.

    frustrating nonetheless.
