Crappy offense and lackluster defense. Rafer is acting like a little wuss who can't penetrate. David "I throw FREAKING bricks and move slow as molasses" Wesley. Why the hell is he playing so many minutes? Yao acting like a 150lb stickman getting thrown around like a rag doll instead of being a towering 7'6 310lb center. Juwan can't play offense or defense. Why aren't we utilizing Head, Mutombo or Barry? The only positive was watching JVG going AWOL on our team. I hope he makes them run suicides until they puke. Man, I feel for JVG and T-Mac. I know it's early, but looking at this team on paper before the season started - you would think we would be competing. Man, the eyes can be deceiving....
we should hire PJ Carlesimo (or however the hell you spell it) and then sign spreewell. never ever, would we have a dull moment in practice.
The only person im pretty disepointed of is Rafer. Man its like a slap in the face for how bad he's been playing.
That has been continuous since his rookie year. He gets pounded by SFs in the paint. Sad. And yes, the positive out of JVG screaming is he feels our frustration of the way this team is gelling....like crap.
Have some patience, please... November is our toughest month on the schedule, which is a really bad time to have your toughest month. The new guys are still trying to fit in, and of course Tracy has been hurt which is not helping things. We have to weather the storm...remember, it's going to be nearly impossible to overtake the Spurs for our division, so we have to focus on getting that 4th seed, which means finishing ahead of the Mavs and Nuggets. I think the two biggest things we need right now are Bob Sura, and Stromile Swift to really get control of the mental part of the game.
That's not the case any more. I don't think Yao has been thrown around this year. Even when Yao was tired, the other team would still use fronting and send double team because they can't move him around easily.
Yao is 7'6 310lbs+. His upper body has only 50 pounds. He can't hold onto the ball when he gets a rebound or goes after one. Anyone can come up to the guy and knock the ball away....it seems pretty simple for the PGs, SGs, and SFs. And by the way, what are his offensive moves? The only thing I see from him are his fadeaways and sky hooks. Has he actually went up hard and dunk the ball - on a consistent basis? Has he ever muscled himself in for a strong layup or taken someone on one on one - consistently? You know, things a big man of his size would do....
it's still early. i think there's a lot of us who were expecting results immediately. i'll wait for the all-star break before i start to panic.
Yao's hand strengh is a problem, but that's not being thrwon around like rag dolls, OK? He no longer lets basketball poked away from him on offense, which is an improvement, his TOs are down because of that. Yao certainly tried to get to the basket. But what did he get? Offensive fouls on him despite it should be blocking fouls by defenders. Refs won't let him to waht Shaq is doing, he has to adjust.
Crappy offense and lackluster defense. Agreed Rafer is acting like a little wuss who can't penetrate. if he does, he'll be crucified for being like mike james or steve francis. David "I throw FREAKING bricks and move slow as molasses" Wesley. Why the hell is he playing so many minutes? agreed. Yao acting like a 150lb stickman getting thrown around like a rag doll instead of being a towering 7'6 310lb center. maybe he doesn't play like shaq, but did you really expect that? Juwan can't play offense or defense. he's doing more good than bad in my eyes. Why aren't we utilizing Head, Mutombo or Barry? hell if I know. Barry isn't the same guy yet. Mutombo, well, Yao is starting to stay in games The only positive was watching JVG going AWOL on our team. I hope he makes them run suicides until they puke. agreed. Man, I feel for JVG and T-Mac. you mean the guy that went, what...0-9 or something at the beginning? no hatin, just saying, there is PLENTY of blame to go around. I know it's early, but looking at this team on paper before the season started - you would think we would be competing. Man, the eyes can be deceiving.... so far, you are right. I have faith things will progress. if not, Oh man, talk about a long season.
yao is nowhere near a problem on this team. you're blind if you think so. he's been agressive and very potent offensively, it's just been confusing why our guards can't get him the ball more. it also doesn't help when no one outside of mcgrady can make shots so they can just pack it in on yao late. yao bashing is so two-three years ago, apparently you and the national media can't get it straight.
Yes, I do feel pain TO them, not FROM them. Tmac hasn't shown the leadership and YAO has no clue to be a leader. rest of them just lost and no chemistry, no confidence.
