The 2006 NBA All-Star Game, which will air live on TNT, ESPN Radio and in more than 200 countries worldwide, will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 19. Fans have the opportunity to vote in NBA arenas, 19 languages on the NBA.com Network, approximately 130 Loews Cineplex Entertainment movie theaters in the United States, and through mobile phones at t-zones using T-Mobile service or wap.nba.com for any wireless carrier. This year’s All-Star balloting partners include T-Mobile USA, X-Box, NBA2K6 and AOL. NBA All-Star 2006 is a week-long celebration that enables fans to experience the thrill of the world’s greatest athletes playing the game they love and features a full slate of community enhancing activities and fan festivals. A total of 120 players – 60 each from the Eastern and Western Conferences – are listed on the NBA All-Star ballot, with 24 guards, 24 forwards and 12 centers from each conference comprising the ballot. Voters select two guards, two forwards and one center from each conference. The 120 players on the ballot were selected by a panel of media experts who regularly cover the NBA. This year’s panel included Steve Aschburner (Minneapolis Star Tribune/ President, Professional Basketball Writers’ Association), Ric Bucher (ESPN the Magazine), Ernie Johnson (Turner Sports), Mike Monroe (San Antonio Express News) and Sam Smith (Chicago Tribune). The 2006 NBA All-Star Balloting program continues through Jan. 22, 2006 and updated results for the Eastern and Western Conferences will be issued regularly leading up to the unveiling of the All-Star starters Thursday Feb. 2 prior to a TNT doubleheader. Following the completion of fan voting and the starting line-up announcement, the head coaches in each conference will vote to determine the remaining All-Stars in their respective conference, which will be announced Thursday Feb. 9 on NBA TV when the Los Angeles Lakers face the Dallas Mavericks. http://www.nba.com/news/allstar2006_051117.html lets help yao and tmac (which is a sure bet as it is) be in this year's all star game and represent houston!!! I think he'll definitely beat out Duncan, and possibly KG too. Duncan doesn't normally do well on the all-star balloting.

David Wesley is on the Ballot. Can we get him to break Yao's all time vote leader record? A retiring gift for him....
Of course I vote Rockets, but to be honest, Yao and TMac will be getting all of the Chinese votes, to I'm not worried at all about them starting.
Seriously though, its time to test the true powers of our chinese friends. If they can get David Wesley in as a starter in this All Star game, it will be the greatest traveshamockery of all time.
Seems pretty close except that there is no way Francis is making it in a conference packed with guards since he didnt even make it last year. Also, I think Jermaines teammate, Ron Artest, might get the nod over him this year as the 2nd forward behind Lebron.
Did you guys notice the ballot requires voters to identify which country they are from? IT's time to test if Yao was sent to All star by Chinese voters or not. Hopefully they will disclose the votes source for each all star.
Am I the only one who thinks it's completely ridiculous they start accepting votes for the All-Star game after only 8-10 games?
Elton Brand Shawn Marion Sam Cassell Baron Davis Marcus Camby Ron Artest LeBron James Gilbert Arenas Chauncey Billups Ben Wallace
No Rox? Guess you're a Pistons fan. Huh? As far as I know, unlike baseball, there is no home court advantage for winning the all-star game...Now go home.
are u kidding. ur western lineup is a joke. u must be an eastern conf fan to vote like that. u must wanna see the western conf get completely destroyed. cassel? bdavis? wheres tmac wheres kobe. wheres yao, kg, TD cmon
