oh my god have you seen what that jackass Dan Patrick (the KPRC-AM one not the ESPN one) has on Ch. 55? It's called the Patrick Report and it's a total ripoff of the O'Reily Factor except 10 times more conservative.

Bill O'Reily is a conservative in a moderate's clothing. The only thing I've heard him say that's not conservative is he's anti-capital punishment. However he's a good speaker and a watchable TV personality (unlike Dan Patrick).

Watching the O'Reilly Factor leaves me feeling so very, very dirty.

I actually find it very entertaining and interesting. I don't necessarily agree with him on everything, but he is an interesting person to watch, and I like his style.

All of these commentators in sheep's clothing are pretty boring, IMO.

There was one guy that I could stomach telling me stuff that I didn't want to hear... Chris Matthews on Hardball. He at least knows both sides best arguments before he just does the "don't you hate it when"...

i like the o'reilly factor because he share lots o the opinions i do. The only thing i dislike is he has a habit of interupting people while they are talking and it get annoying sometimes.

    I have the O'Reily book.

Very good book. I suggest you pick one up.

But by far the funniest thing on Fox News Channel is Neil Cavuto on Business.

Man that guy has a big head.
    Jeez.

There aren't many commentators I actually like. My parents watched CNN all the time - it drove me crazy. They were so obviously biased, and uninterested in finding the truth that it seemed pointless. Yes, the liberals annoyed me as well [IMG].

I used to like Michael Kinsley on Cross Fire, but he went off to concentrate on more serious journalism.

I like Chris Matthews, he seems like the most sensible talk show personality that doesn't appear to have some hidden agenda.

O'Reilly's grown on me, his show's somewhat entertaining, and I love it when he gets into it with someone like Jerry Nadler. The factor's not that bad. The channel it's on though is very annoying. It's like they're obsessed with trying to convince their viewers that they produce fair and balanced reporting. It's like every other sentence has something to do with how fair they are. That's very annoying.

That 1 show on sunday's I think is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever seen. It's the show where you've got 4 people sitting around a table commenting on other stations and their reporting, it's just 30 minutes of cable channel bashing, of course I hardly ever see them talk about Fox News, just their competitors.

    O'Reilly's good though...

And I saw the Dan Patrick show once the tube once, if it's on the Tube it more than likely sucks, the Dan Patrick show is perfect for the Tube...

    Bill O'Reily is a conservative in a moderate's clothing.

I like O'Reilly. I will watch his show when I get a chance, which I haven't for several months now.

I wouldn't go so far to call O'Reilly a conservative, necessarily. I think he's a right-of-center moderate and most importantly, not a partisan. I will freely concede that he sides more often with the GOP than the Democrats but I believe that's due to ideological agreement rather than strict partisan alignment.

In other words, he's not Sean Hannity.

O'Reilly doesn't think that everything the GOP does is right because they're the GOP and that's whose side he's on; it depends on the issue, and on some issues, he'll slam the GOP because they're wrong. His recent feature on some of GWB's quid pro quo ambassadorial appointments-- the French ambassador that doesn't speak French-- was a good example of this.

Good TV. Smart formula. Better than anything on the three broadcast networks in that time slot, I can tell you that.

The only talking head I watch anymore is Jim Lehrer.

News & political commentary are much more believable to me when they come from a TV or radio station that does not w**** for advertising. Just my opinion.

    Tex,

You should look at my massive post in the "This explains everything..." thread to see about "news stories" that were realy infomercials. [IMG]

I like the McLaughlin Group because that John is so damn annoying it is funny.

    ------------------
Squatting on old bones and excrement and rusty iron, in a white blaze of heat, a panorama of naked idiots stretches to the horizon. Complete silence-their speech centers are destroyed-except for the crackle of sparks and the popping of singed flesh as they apply electrodes up and down the spine. White smoke of burning flesh hangs in the motionless air. A group of children have tied an idiot to a post with barbed wire and built a fire between his legs and stand watching with bestial curiosity as the flames lick his thighs. His flesh jerks in the fire with insect agony.

The McLaughlin group is great! A bunch of people just yelling at eachother. It's like a Jerry Springer show in suits!

I think this is on fox, but it may be NBC -- the Judith Regan show. That woman rocks my world! I LOVE THAT SHOW! She's got such a great style, and her topics are so interesting.

McLaughlin is funny... does he still do the "wrong!" bit? [IMG]

I noticed that some of his sidekicks now work for Fox.

Yes, Achebe, and if someone agrees with him a lot, he will start talking about how smart that person is, unlike the others.

Of course he also still does his "bye bye!" bit where it seems to come mid-sentence.
