Interesting, the former "Soviet Central Asia" now known as the C.I.S. (Commonwealth of Independent States) must be the most unknown region in the world for Americans. Won't stay that way for very long I guarantee you that. Because of my tertiary involvement in the oil & gas industry, I've known about that area ever since they became independent countries.

All this talk about the Soviets has me all misty eyed for the good ole days of the Cold War.

They were all as Ali G, the only one I'm not positive about is Scowcroft and I'm 95% sure that one was Ali G. Borat never interviews famous people, just locals.

The fact that he can pull all of these interviews off and stay in character without ever cracking up is amazing, and to come up with his responses on the fly shows how good he really is.

My favorite Ali G interview was definitely Buzz Aldrin. "What about those people who say the moon doesn't exist?"

I was floored when I found out that he did the little lemur king's voice in Madagascar, quite well too.

I haven't watched him too much, but he did this interview with a Jackson, MS, wine club that was hysterical.

I love that show and I don't really see how a country can sue him. BTW, has anybody seen commercials for a new show being produced by Courtney Cox and David Arquette on TBS. It's called Daisy Does America and it stars this British comedian chick. Anyways, from the commercials, that show looks like a total rip off of Da Ali G Show. She like plays different characters and interviews people. How lame does this show look? In one scene, she's interviewing some lady with a dog in her lap and says to her in a very reporterish way "Has anybody asked you who, who, who, who let the dogs out?"
