What ever happen to Yao Ming facing defenders up? Can't turn the ball over if I'm staring at you in the face. Won't be as tried and 1 to 2 offensive fouls a game will disappear. Stop it. Face the man up on the baseline like his rookie year. Let him shot over people or two dribble hook. And don't tell me he can't dribble (behind the back breakaway) Hell, I even get winded watching him fight for position. Van Gundy is turning Yao into Frankenming. MMMUST PPPOST UUUUP. Stop it-

If the defender has time, they'll likely rush up into Yao's face. He can't really drive around anybody unless he's guarded by one defender, and how often does that happen?

Remember Yao is 7'6 and was touted as a good passer when he can see who is behind him and in front. And about one defender did you watch the Miami game? Look, I'm not saying every possession, but I am saying mix it up. Make it hard on the defense with variety

I'm getting tired of watching this fronting crap. Each time it happens it disrupts our flow and wastes our shot clock. I don't care if it's Yao's fault, the guards fault, Ewing's fault, the power dancers' fault, or JVG's fault. Put an end to this crap! If we can't beat fronting, MIXING IT UP! Before we can beat fronting, MIXING IT UP!

I don't agree 100%, but you are singing the same tune as something I've always said:

Allow more freedom for Yao Ming to utilize his skills. I have said over and over (in casual fan talk, not here) how they have tried to restrict Yao into a more fundamental post player. I think it's good to give him that instruction, but also allow for him to do what he does best and that is be creative with his moves, passes, etc. It makes him less predictable. Whether that means more wins or not, I'm not sure. I think it would. Frankenming...I was saying RoboMing...same idea :p

I second that. I know mods are not supposed to alter a member's post, but in this case it's necessary. The dude didn't know what he was doing, and worse yet, couldn't edit his own post due to lack of contribution to the tipping jar.

I hope a mod can just break that freakin' non-working [IMG]
