http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/ The guy who started this site is 21. He started it 30 days ago and has made over half a MILLION dollars. The deal: Buy a pixel of the webpage for $1. I saw his interview on the news a few minutes ago.
stuff like this just pisses me off b/c I know I could of thought of something this simple actually stuff like this just encourages my self-loathing
million dollar making ideas are hardly stupid. it just takes someone with perserverance and courage to go through with it.
I was going to try to auction of my torso on ebay by wearing a shirt with whatever logo the winner wanted for year straight (mulitple shirts would have to be furnished). And since I go to college in a warm locale, I would be able to wear the t-shirts all year 'round. Then I went to ebay and noticed that people were already trying to sell advertising space on their persons and nobody was buying .
I work in the Sub Shop of a grocery store that is big in the North Eastern United States (New York, Penn., Delaware, New Jersey, etc.), and I thought of a GREAT idea (in my opinion) for a sub (or subs). The CEO and the Owner's son are coming to the store within the next week or two. I don't know if I should pitch the idea to them or not. Apparently, when they come, they walk around the store and talk with all their employees. I told a manager about my idea, but I couldn't tell if she was interested or not. Now, if I pitch the idea, and he thinks it's stupid, I'll feel insanely dumb. If I pitch it, and he likes it, I could get a raise or something, which would be nice....
Okay, but nobody can steal my idea and start a sub shop! Okay, I came up with the idea for DESSERT SUB! You start off with baking some banana or blueberry muffin or what have you into the shape of a sub and cut it like a sub. Next, instead of mayo or mustard, you can get yogurt or cream cheese(different types, of course). Next, you pick whatever kinds of fresh fruit you want on the sub (apples, cherries, strawberries, pineapples, etc.). The final step is choosing a topping. Things like sprinkles, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, strawberry syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, etc.
It sounds like a decent idea, but may not be feasible from a business standpoint. Almost all the items you mentioned are ones not currently available at most sub shops. But overall, I like it.
But should I pitch it to the head guys? Almost all of the items are available in the fruit/salad bar, and I think that since we're in a grocery store where these things are easily accessible, it might not be too hard to begin.
