My vote goes to "The Jeffersons". That song just rocks.

Hands down: Sanford and Son. The Bob Newhart Show's wasn't bad, either.

With words: The Patty Duke Show

Ever heard the lyrics to "Suicide is Painless", the theme song for M*A*S*H?

    Good stuff.

The version with lyrics is in the movie M*A*S*H. It was written by director Robert Altman's son.

Sanford and Son is right up there.

But since we're going old school --- I think Rockford Files and Hawaii 5-0 would be my top two....

It is. The guy who sings it in the movie is named Ken Primus. He's a broadway actor that I met at the Alley Theatre several years ago when he was the voice of Audrey II in Little Shop Of Horrors. He had some great backstage stories.

Do Peanuts holiday specials count? I'd vote for Vince Guaraldi for making me feel like it's the holiday season ever year.
