Mcgrady took 10 shots and Yao Ming only took 8. i didn't get to watch the game as i was at work. why did they take so few shots?
Wow. Well, part of it was that the game was so lopsided, that Yao and McGrady basically didn't play the 4th quarter. How many shots did TMac take in the 4th in the prior game? Probably 10+ shots. Yao did his usual disappearing act. He never really worked hard enough to establish his positions so the ball never went into him. Rather than reposting on the oposite side, like he usually does, he kinda just faded away and took himself out of the plays. It's too bad because Warrel said Boston, so far, gives up the most points in the paints in the NBA. So Yao really should have done more damage. Chalk it up to being a back-2-back with TMac's 2nd game coming from injury. TMac definately looks a step slow in his last 2 games. He's hitting open J's but rarely driving the basket.
don't forget our three-headed "vetran" Derek Allsley going 4 for 20 ! you might was well let Head and Stro play - they can't do any worse and at least any bad shooting night will be due to the learning curve, not the rapid decline of their game
That was so funny! But I still think the jury is out on this team. I think we need some more time. However I do think they need to get their act together soon; the west is deep and you dont want to be in a hole. I we have to Win!
because the refs were unfair to Yao and TMAC got into foul trouble early and nobody defended LaFrentz well who didn't miss from the rainbow country. and yes, our three-headed guards shot poorly.
I gotta hand it to the celtics for handling tmac really well on the pick and roll. NJN had no answer for it but Boston never really get him him open off of it.
Offense was definitely inept last night, but if there was ever an example of poor defense leading to poor offense, last night was it. It is impossible to count the number of times the Rockets have been burned this year alone for JVG unwillingness to not double team a PG with the PF. yes, the Stro double team did create one or two turnovers, but it left LaFrentz, who was only 4-4 from 3's already, open another 3 plus times. Jeff, this is the NBA, 80%+ of the time, the offensive team will break a weak double team like that, and a young, energetic team like the Celtics will take advantage. Defense overall was HORRIBLE, and as such, the Rockets were constantly playing from behind, and never got into an offensive rythm.
