During Christmas time - It's a Wonderful Life which is on every channel in the world translated in 3,856,372 languages.
TNT, TBS, or whoever go through periods where they always play the Back to the Future movies. And, I can't complain at all. I love that trilogy. Man, everytime I see Back to the Future on, I just can't change the channel. Those movies are timeless, and I'll never get tired of them. Other than that, though, yeah they do play the same movies too much. I rarely ever watch a movie on TV anyways because they'll just edit out all of the good stuff.
Do you people not have cable, VCRs, or DVD players? I can't remember the last time I watched a movie on free TV. Commercials are teh suck.
TNT has been beating the hell out of Saving Private Ryan for the last few days .....I've watched it 3 times in the last 3 days and haven't even been home that much Hunt for Red October is always on alot
Oh -- Shawshank is on right now Although, I liked it when they showed Dumb 'n Dummer all the time. I'de watch for a little bit. Or when Meet the Parents is on, you can watch a scene or two, very funny.
HOW ABOUT YOU freakers DISCUSS MOVIES that come on REGULAR TV too much? All this is cable talk... what about us non-cable dudes? RoboCop is the only one that comes to mind now.
I must say, if you don't like The Shawshank Redemption, there is something severly wrong with you. I would seek psychiatric help, immediately.
"I believe in two things - discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord. Your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank."
which reminds me of another movie that comes on TV a lot, American Pie. Of course, it's not quite as good with certain TV edits... like the little kid jumping around yelling "Freaks! Freaks! Freaks!" And "Mom I'd Like to Feel." Please.
That line was a complete ripoff from Full Metal Jacket. "Welcome to Shawshank. Where you can sucessfully break through the walls over the process of many years using just a rock hammer. During that time, we will conduct searches of your cell, but we'll never look for tunnels behind big conspicuous posters and we'll never make you switch cells with other inmates."
