I was stoked about unloading Lima's contract, until I read this -- that Milicki makes comparable money over the same time span, and arguably will put up numbers comparable to or worse than Lima's.

I just got back into town and wanted to bring up a post I wrote on May 21 (perhaps I will change my name to "Doc Astro"):

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/003922.html

"If I owned a team that played in a pitcher's park (e.g. Tigers), who's GM (Randy Smith) has a connection with the Astros president, and I could get Houston to pay part of his salary, I'd take him.

Most every team could use a starting pitcher. The Astros are currently blessed with an abundance of young minor league arms, other teams aren't.

Lima has proven to be a good pitcher in a pitcher's park in the past. Most GMs and pitching coaches always think they can salvage a career, especially a relatively young man."
