It's a little early to hit the panic button at 1 and 3. It's not like it's a 16 game season you know.

Secondly, you're talking about a team losing close games - not getting blown out by 20 every night. If that was happening, then there might be a greater cause for concern.

I'm hopeful for the future - why?

    1. Stomile will not continue to be this atrocious - he can only get better
    2. Derek Anderson can not continue to be this atrocious - he can only get better (or get injured)
    3. T-mac will be back

It's just too early in the season to get too worked up. Right now the Rockets aren't playing great - but with so many new faces it's not surprising this team is grinding gears on first.

I agree it is still early and the first week is no indication of every team, does anybody believe a 5-1 Clippers team is heading for a breakout season with a top 3 seed? Things will change again by the end of next week and we might see the Rockets 4-3 or something and the Clippers 5-5

The Rockets as a team are shooting 39% which is good for 28th in the league, even Yao is only shooting 46% from the floor. This poor shooting is the root of all their problems and when the start shooting better they will start winning.

Better shooting, especially from the guards, and especially in the 4th quarter.

Tighter, smarter defense in the 4th quarter.

    Oh... and T-Mac. :)

As ugly as these three losses have been, it's not like we've been blown out -- on the contrary, we were in all three games until we crashed and burned in the 4th quarter every time. Here are the scores at the end of the 3rd quarter:

    Rox 71, Hornets 65
    Magic 55, Rox 52
    Rox 64, Heat 60

Just a little better defense and a little better shooting and we'd have won all three.
