[Movie] Get Rich or Die Tryin'

I wouldn't go just by that.....The movie 'Waiting' got terrible reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, but I went to see it a couple weeks ago and thought it was hilarious.

 

Rotten Tomatoes is usually in line with my first impressions of movies. I used to look at IMDB's ratings first, until I heard that the production companies were sending their PAs and crew to the site to skew the ratings...

 

Comedies are different though. Most critics don't seem to have sense of humors.

 

"he had two choices.......get rich or die trying....."

or.....get an honest, low-paying job like the rest of the normal populace.

 

What about Jarhead or other new movies, anyone see those?

BTW, where is that movie "Good night, good luck" playing? I didn't see it at the AMC when I went last week.

 

I saw Jarhead last weekend and it wasn't great. It was very slow.

Get Rich doesn't appeal to me at all. 50 is sickening already. You're trying to create a Scarface type flick but I got news for you, you're not Pacino and your screen play wasn't written by Oliver Stone. Please just disappear already or create another phony beef and get shot already. Dude thinks he is the greatest thing to ever happen to the world. I am tired of hearing you sing, and studering "GGGG....GGG.GG..GGGG Un....UN...UNIT". The Massacre was a horrendous followup album to a first one that was above average. Quit creating drama by hating on rappers that are far more talented lyrically like Jadakiss. The only thing I like about you is that ruined Ja RUle's carreer because he is just as bad/phony as you are.

If you have not seen this movie yet. DO NOT WAIT ANY LONGER. I can honestly say this is the most well-done, entertaining, and important movie I have seen in several years. GO SEE IT ASAP.

 

1.5 outta 4 stars on reel.com....the classification deemed as "not even on a plane"...

Agreed. It is a fantastic movie.

As far as "Get Rich or Die Trying" goes, not only will I now pay to see it, I won't even watch it when it comes on cable.

 

I'll third that, it's an amazing movie.
