Kobe's playing out of his mind, but this dude is the landslide Most Improved Player if he keeps this up. 18,4, and 4, 60% from the field, and 40% from 3 point land. Plus, he's got one of the coolest nicknames in the league...

    Smuuuuuuuush!!

Why don't we go ahead and ask Clutch to change this to a Laker forum already?

Well, last time I read the sports section, the Lakers were an NBA team...can't really say the same thing about the Rockets minus McGrady, though...

Besides, I thought this forum was already renamed The Official Steve Francis bashing forum. :D

Didn't the NBA stop giving out comeback player of the year because former drug addicts kept winning it?

I liked Smush Parker when he was in the draft. I felt he had something. But, he's a Laker now, so I really can't root for him.

If you drafted him you're a fantasy god, nobody could have forseen his success, have you seen his career stats?

Any bum PG on the Lakers can dish out good numbers...especially since Lamar has been sucking.

Last year, when Kobe went down, Atkins raised his scoring avg to 18 pts. Fisher signed that bloated contract with GS. IMO, Parker's emergence isn't out of the ordinary, but he's still a bum.

i like smush parker and i'm glad he's playing well. he still never should have left fordham early. he's had to get there the hard way especially after struggling his rookie season and him bouncing around the last couple of years.

I drafted him for assists, with odom and bryant i figured him and nash would take care of me with assists.

I watched part of the game they played against the Suns a few days ago. He impressed the hell out of me with his defense of Nash. He was hounding him something fierce and straight up picked his pocket a couple times when Nash was bringing the ball up the court.

Well Smush wasn't so hot today. A total of zero points and a loss to the ailing timberwolves...

But yea overall he's been pretty solid.
