Come on people. This team is built around TMac and Yao. Not just TMac and not just Yao. If either player is out for an extended period of time. This team will suffer. We see what happens when there is no TMac already But I guess since most of you don't have brothers who have been Magic fans their whole life, you don't realize that without Yao this team is no better than any of the Orlando teams that TMac lead. This team will lose when either of its stars are out.
Thats unbelievable. How could anyone marry somebody who told them they couldn't do something that they loved? wow
I agree with the point you are trying make but Tracy was with the Magic for more than that one horrible year.
The entire Rockets offense has two sets, either hand over the ball to TMac, let him do whatever he decides, or dump it to Yao, let him decides. When one of the sets is gone, the other team geared up to stop the other set, we are done! Last game was a classic display of this. We have no offensive system, or structure. It's just Tmac and Yao.
Not just pointing out that one horrible year. In fact I'm not even thinking about that one year. The teams before that were nothing to be excited about. Yeah, they made the playoffs, but they weren't going to make it past the first round anyways. Heck, they were barely over .500 teams. Tracy is amazing but just like Yao he has to have the sidekick. It's a shame that Tracy and Grant Hill never really got to play together. Okay, maybe not a complete shame, or otherwise we wouldn't have Tracy. That was what excited me about the end of last year and the playoffs. Finally Tracy had a star with Yao to take some of the burden away and Tracy's game was rising. Too many years before that me and my brothers would watch Magic games and deplore the fact that basically the only option was to run the "tracy offense". I see that as happening here too if Yao is out. Hell, I think we would more than likely make the playoffs with Yao out for a significant portion of the year. But the team though is built better to win with both. Look at the statistics in the NBA Dish Forum basically stating how dependent we are on our 2 stars as they alone do 40% of our scoring. When Tracy returns, I expect to see things go back to as everyone was predicting at the beginning of the year.
