I don't know what games yall have been watch but this Rockets team is just out of sync. They easily should have and could have won the past 2 games. The offense has been out of sync with TMac out and Yao has been pressing too hard. Its not as if the team has looked outclassed, but they have just not executed well and they aren't gel-ing yet.

I am pretty encouraged by the start and I think this team can play without T-mac for an extended period of time but they need time to find themselves without T-mac.

I agree, it will probably turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
With out T-Mac you are losing 20+ points a game.
Clearly we woudl have won these games.
We are missing our best player and still barely losing.
    Im not worried.
    Hurry Back T-Mac!!!

Aren't there enough threads telling people to stop worrying?

Bandwagoners need to jump off and stay the hell off. Even if we get Tmac back, we are really missing the heart and soul of our team last year! A lot of people took Sura for granted...There's just no fight in this team. Too soft...too nice. We really need somebody like Spreewell to give us that fire until Sura comes back.

My sentiments exactly. You can really tell why type of fan one is by the post they make. Some posters are forgetting that this is a team game and taking their negativity and hatred to certain players to the extreme. I mean really what true fan predicts a doom or gloom team record. True fans support their team even when the team is not doing good.

I support my team, but I also know that this is just a lottery team without Tmac.

And you know this how? I didn't realize that we were blown out the last two games. They had the lead in both fourth quarters, they just need to stop pressing themselves and make smarter decisions. They also need to capitalize on the other team's turnovers ... Like what is Jon Barry doing a behind a back pass when buckets are at a premium. Also I wouldn't call your statement as supportive.

Regardless of how some of us are reacting, we lost 2 games that we shouldn't have lost, period.

The problem is that we are a veteran team that fails to execute down the stretch of games, while young, inexperienced teams are killing us in the final minutes of the 4th.

17-2 run by the Hornets the last 3 minutes of the game.
8-0 run by Orlando in the last 2 minutes of the game.

    No excuses.

Its simple. Watch any NBA game, there are a few blowouts each night, but the teams that have a goto guy seal the game in the 4th quarter. Even the bad teams play close games till the end.

U think this team has the potential to make the playoffs in the WESTERN conference w/out Tmac? If you do, then I want some of what you are smoking, and if you don't then well, that supports my argument and that makes them a lottery team.

So we should take comfort to the fact that we barley lost to the 2 worst teams in the NBA? We have the Pistons coming up then well see how "not outclassed" we look.

That's why Tmac gets paid the big bucks.

im not taking comfort in it. i am taking comfort in the fact that i know we will start executing better down the stretch when we get used to playing without tmac. i am taking comfort in the fact that if this is the worst the rockets can do then we can be pretty damn good when we start geling.

Few fans are writing off the team. I do hate losing to second-rate teams; that's what started our flurry of trades last season (losing to Charlotte twice).

Since last year, Sura's been my favorite player in the league. That's right, the entire league. I'd never even heard of him before he became a rocket, but watching him play was inspirational. He fought so hard I felt I had to cheer harder at home. He'd do whatever it took to win. My biggest complaint was that he wouldn't pass it to Yao enough.

Boy I'd like him back right about now.

No I don't think the team the way they are closing out games can make the western conference playoffs but the difference between you and me is that I believe that they can improve and that they will improve w/o t-mac. I may turn out to be wrong but until otherwise I will always believe. Just like I didn't write off the Astros when everyone was calling the radio stations proclaiming them dead, I will never write off the Rockets.

I agree. 3 games and lost really 2 close ones. We have two new starters and Swift new to the system coming off bench. Our shooting is off, but I think it will come together. Growing pain. Dont expect us to be kill everybody without another super-star. Goal is to be better in the play-off and regluar season wins and losses are short-lived.
