I'm Sorry that I have to say this guys but I'd rather have James as of right now instead of Alston. I just turned on the game and it was 51-47 in the 3rd quarter! Don't get me wrong, I think Alston is a good player but with T-mac out we need some offense. James may have been a shoot first kind of player but that is EXACTLY what we need right now. When T-mac comes back I think Alston may fit better onto our team, however we don't really know to well. And when it comes to the Toyota Center being so quiet I think it has to do with us being more of a defensive team. Its practically empty in this game!

Alston keeps hitting guys in the hands with a pass and they fumble it away....

I think he should aim for either their heads or their nethers....that way if they miss they will remember to be better prepared the next time.

Larry Bird said in his rookie year in training camp he started pelting teamates with passes in the head, and after 2 days they were all much more alert when he had the ball.

    Id rather have Rafer.

He came semi close to a triple double tonight. He just shot poorly, like the rest of the team.

Have you been watching the games? Rafer looks good out there, he throws to Yao and he can't catch it. He easily could have 8 assists today. He is jumper is working right now but Rafer for James was a good move IMO.

I'd rather have Rafer. Without T-Mac, this team is done. With T-Mac, we already know Mike James is not our starting PG. We don't know that about Rafer yet. I'm still hopeful he finds his way.

    Oh get over it...

And if Mike James was still with us and stinking it up, guess what some would say about Mike James...

Before 2005 comes to a close, you will have forgotten all about Mike James, because you will be under the spell of...

    Rafer Madness!!!

No way. I'd rather have Alston any day. It isn't his fault Yao and company can't handle his crisp passes.

Rafer Alston is one of the few guys shooting the ball decently right now, and he is the problem? Sorry, don't think so.

Skip has 9 assists and 7 rebounds. That's really good.

It's an ugly game. But these days, I just want to look on the bright side and move on. It's a looooong season. I just hope the players won't lose confidence among each other. It's a character building process for the team.

Without Tmac I would rather have Mike James because he is better at creating his own shot. However, with Tmac I would rather have Rafer because his is a better distributer of the ball.

This team is built to fit around and complement Tmac's abilities. Without Tmac we are in trouble as you can see.

We should have traded WESLEY instead of MIKE JAMES (if possible)

MJ and Alston are both great players and they could both help this team in different ways.l MJ provides that spark of instant offense that we desperately need when only our two superstars are involved in the scoring. His absence is especially missed when one of our two stars is injured.

However, Alston makes our entire offense run smoother. Eventually, once this team gets used to his passing, Alston will make the game easier for everyone. Making fast, decisive passes to Yao and reliving McGrady of his ballhandling duties will both become more important than the scoring spark that MJ provides.
