Yesterday Quincy Carter called up The Ticket in Dallas yesterday. This interview was crazy. They just went at him about drugs and other things and all he did was dodge question after question. This man has problems. http://www.amfmpodcast.com/PodCast/HardlineQcarinterviewpod.mp3 http://www.amfmpodcast.com/PodCast/HardlineQcarinterview2.mp3
That was seriously one of the strangest thigs I've heard. I think he was on drugs during the interview...
Wasn't Quincy immediately picked up by the Jets and suited up after being released by Dallas? I agree with him he shouldn't answer those questions, except the one about is he in the program and would he have to sit if he was signed. He could have just answered yes or no on that one.
Man .. i thought he would be talkin through JOHN EDWARDS cause I thought he was dead. . .at least his career I haven't heard from this guy in a while Rocket River
He was, but Q called The Ticket to talk to them not the other way around. If you are going to call up The Hardline (the show he was on) and dodge questions and give the type of answers he was you should expect Greggo to come at you like that. If you want someone to kiss your ass you call up Dan Patrick.
Quincy is a person who didn't take advantage of the opportunities given to him...plain and simple. He had his shot and he blew it. Regardless of what happened during training camp to cause his release(which I'm sure had something to do with his little drug relapse incident), his quarterback skills obviously were of great concern going forward. I think Bill Parcells saw that and the "incident" just made it all the more clear...that this guy is not who you want driving the boat. His talent level was more in line with an arena football league player. I say go do all the drugs you want now. Noone cares.
Some of those guys on the Ticket don't play. I listen to them every time I drive up to Dallas. I like it a lot, but I think they overdue the criticism of their local teams sometimes. They are a lot "spicier" than AM610 or 790.
You should hear Randy Galloway of "Galloway & Co." aka "GAC" on 103.3 ESPN radio in the afternoons 3-6. He refers to all Q fans as the "L&A's" (lovers and apologists) and calls the Q an outright "junkie." Not much love left for the Q up here.
The 103.3FM guys can be harsh also. Sometimes I wonder why we don't have as much local radio talent as Dallas. There is a huge disparity. If 790 could pluck a couple of guys away and put them in the morning slot to replace that awful Fox Sports Extravaganza they could put some fear into 610.
But he called them. Also they asked the questions people wanted to know. At least what I wanted to know. I wanted to know why he was let go by both the boys and the jets. I don't want them to fluff around the view and be nice. Also you don't call The Ticket if you want them to kiss your ass, you call Dan Patrick or someone like that. As apostolic3 said earlier, these guys don't play.
