See, even you agree with what we're saying. And yes, I will root for David Carr because he's the QB of my team. I didn't know that was a problem, nor do I know what that has to do with the media overhyping yet another story.
matt leinart would literally break in two behind this Texans line. someone's about to chris burke me into being a HUGE david carr fan.
How fitting you post a pic of him. Anyone remember the story that was replayed 3,482 times on ESPN about how he used to be fat and cross-eyed? How touching.
You're watching too much ESPN then. Would you rather they have coverage on Duce Staley's weekend doing yardwork, Tony Siragusa having lunch, or Cliff Kingsbury shopping for groceries? Maybe some talk about Brad and Jen and Double Down Trent? Did you complain about the hype for Shaq/Yao Part IV? Are they done promoting Marcus Vick yet? Sox/Yankees? ESPN knows how to butter their bread. Enough people out there care about some of these stories. I enjoy certain ones and zone out the others. St. Bruschi is the best of them. Tim Couch has better success and stats than David Carr. I'm not making this up.
Oh, I don't know, they could actually cover sports? A mention or two of feel-good stories is OK, but maybe some of you would be better off watching WE or Lifetime. Good for him. Until Carr is not the Texans QB, I'll root for him.
Speaking about Texans, what are the chance the colts will cover the spread in RCA dome? I will guess it is 99%+.
Everyone repeat after me. Sour. Grapes. But Belichick's message was clear: We need all the points we can get, our defense can't stop these guys. And they couldn't. Forty points and a gazillion first downs later, Manning was smiling on the sidelines, his teammates were pretending that they liked him, ABC was rolling their fake MasterCard commercial and the fans were pouring out of Gillette Stadium. The torch, for all intents and purposes, had been passed. After four arduous years, various rule changes to help their passing game, and a creampuff schedule highlighted by a fortuitous bye before last night's game, the Colts (and the NFL) finally got their wish. There was a new alpha dog in the AFC. God, I hate Bill Simmons for forcing me to root for the Colts last night and defend them today.
Yeah, funny how the rules have supposedly helped the Colts passing game, yet their rushing attack is better than their passing attack, and Manning is on pace to throw for less than 4,000 yards for the first time since his rookie year...
