Not sure if anyone saw the Raptors-Pistons game from Saturday...

Anyways... Aaron Williams goes up and lays a nice 2 handed block on a Rip Hamilton drive. He comes down and has to plant all that weight on his hands so he doesn't hurt Rip. He dislocated his middle and ring fingers - they were bent back damn near 90 degrees. He just gets up on his knee and sticks them back in place, then jogs over to the bench where the trainer leads him to the dressing room, pulling on his fingers the whole time.

When they replayed the clip, they showed a closer shot which clearly showed the fingers bent backwards and it just makes you cringe... the kind of thing that makes women go "ewwww" while flailing their arms around.

Not on the scale of watching Theisman's leg snap, but similar reaction.

Not the clearest shot, but here are Aaron's bent back fingers:

Speaking of Joe Theisman's injury...anyone know where I can get the video for it? Can someone post a yousendit link to it if they have it?

    Thanks

PS. Here's a clip of Cisse breaking his leg in 2. Not for faint hearted. :(

dude basketball injuries are nothing compared to injuries you get in other sports, anyone saw the video of the hockey goalie getting his throat slit?? that was way more blood, or for those into extreme sports, i saw a guy doing a 56ft drop with a freeride bike, and snapped his sternem.

That's not for the faint hearted? That's nothing! I was expecting to see bone or something. Here's a blood-free leg break video, seeing as how I'm not sure if I can show bloody broken limb vids here.

Yeah, I don't know what's worse: that he broke the leg or that he actually tried landing on it while it had the consistency of rubber. Ouch!!!!

But the most shocking break for me was Willis Mcgahee's knee shattering in that last Miami game. Not because it was the most gruesome, which it quite was, but also that I wasn't expecting it on live tv. It's one thing to know beforehand that someone's gonna get hurt. With mcgahee, I was just watching another football game and suddenly BAM!!! I had a hard time sleeping that night.
