The thing I can never figure out in the Chronicle is that damn word jumble. I'll be reading the paper on the weekend, have a couple three cups of strong coffee, start into it, get about two of the words, get stuck on the other two words and the bonus, get angry & frustrated, and toss the whole newspaper into the garbage can. Thanks - you nearly got me in trouble with my boss! Just had to try that crossword and was almost done when he walked in. Fortunately, I had managed to minimize it and bring up the window I was running programs in. Wonder what he thought about the clutch bbs thing in the background, if he saw it. (btw, I'm a grad student and I'm not officially "on the clock" anyway. Also he hardly ever talks to us. We spend a fair chunk of our time screwing around. still... too many temptations on the Internet. I finished the puzzle in 11 minutes total (not counting interruptions).
