So I am doing my secondary applications to medical school. Wayne State Univ is forcing me to answer the hardest question battery in human history. I need to answer one of the following: A. What individual (excluding family members) has had the most influence on your life and why? B. Describe your toughest challenge in life thus far and how you handled it. C. What has been the most significant event or accomplishment in your life and why? I was thinking about writing about my girlfriend for A (she does really want me to be a better person) but I am afraid that that will be too hokey or come across poorly to the admissions people... I dont really have anything that I would consider a toughest challenge, or a really significant event or accomplishment. I hate all three of these questions...if anyone has any advice or insight I would really appreciate it.
A> Jeff Van Gundy - Since watching the Rockets under Jeff Van Gundy you realize that a stricter, more agressive leadership style is what works best and you have adopted your style to work for the betterment of the team. B> Toughest challenge was watching the CWS beat the 'Stros in the WS or watching the Mavs beat the Rox in last years playoffs. How a less talented team could "steal" a Houstons teams "thunder" is a tragedy. C> The biggest accomplishment in my life was watching game seven of the Rox vs. NYK Finals in 1994 at the Summit in Houston, Texas. The fact a Houston Team had never won a Championship was a minor detail, the fact they did it in a year they were not expected to do so was another. I was on the floor when Vernon Maxwell screamed after missing a free-throw in the final minutes, but we hung on and won. The Rox winning the World Championship was not only one of the most significant moments in my life, BUT ALSO IN THE LIFE OF THE GUY THAT WROTE THIS PAPER FOR ME. Enjoy. Best of luck in your paper, TMD
LMAO I agree with you 100000% on all three points. If only I could tell the real truth. TMD you are AMAZING
A. A teacher in H.S. or Professor in college or Coach. Go for the they taught me never to give up or they change my life by showing me examples of how to be successful. Maybe a religious person or some one who always help others that you know, that could be something else. B. Death of close family members are always golden for sympathy points, though I can never bring my self to write about them (using a loved one's misfortune for personal gain doesn't sit right with me) but if you have no qualms about that then go for it. If you're a foreigner, learning english and try to assimilate. Minority, talk about rising above stereotypes. White, talk about having a shelter life and learned to be more accepting of others. C. Graduating high school if you were the first person in your family to do that. You should know much better about how to deal with this question.
Well, I have to say that if you can't find anything to write about with these, then you are probably a shallow, party person, and maybe you should write about music, like for example, you really relate to creed and their lead singer because .... and you could then talk about the religious oppression in your own background and how a certain song speaks to you about that subject in a comparsion contrast paper. I'm sure that you have some band that really has spoken to you, and that would really let them know what you are about.
