And so begins what promises to be a very memorable season.. Rockets v Kings 11/02/05 full game torrent Extended edition highlights and notable footage from the home opener v KIngs the clip video has plenty of seeds ad should be a pretty quick download, while the full game one is only being seeded by one person right now and will probably take most of this day to complete....but it is well worth it just to see the outstanding bench play and other aspects of Yao's improvement that dont make it onto the highlight reels. as most of you know, the videos are encoded with the xvid codec and are being made available using the bittorrent p2p protocol, so if you arent sure what that means, ask here and I or one of the many other posters who know will answer any reasonable questions. lastly, Seed Seed and Seed.....if you download the video and immediately close your bittorrent program....you suck and should die...only about 40% of the downloaders lseed and that sucks...we can do better than that. but a BIG thanks to those of you that always seed...you know who you are, and you rule.
Thanks for doing this. I relied heavily on this last season, but with league pass this year it's not so bad.
BT ports blocked. Can anyone please post a YouSendIt link for the highlights? http://www.bittorrent.com/introduction.html http://dessent.net/btfaq/ http://dessent.net/btfaq/#now_what
Hi Rivaldo, im no expert but I think xvid codec is how the files are encoded (created) and you need divx or something similar to be able to see the downloaded files. Unless you are asking about BT (bittorrent) which is a file sharing system kind of like napster but way better.. please see the links someone else provided.. BT for Dummies (if I can figure it out so can you) in summary if you want to download the videos R2K provides (thank You) download and install the BT client (I like bitcomet myself) bitcomet.com download and install the divx codex (http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.0.3-20122004.exe) which allows you to watch the downloaded video. then click on the links R2K has provided to start downloading -> once its complete you may have to search for the downloaded video in your Program Files -> BitComet -> Downloads (something like that) double click on the file and watch *enjoy (hope this helps) R2K maybe you can just include something like this so you will not get as many questions? J
All, right. That's it. I've had enough. I'm building a FAQ. When I have it ready, I'll send you the url, R2K and you can just link to it from your initial post.
there are yousendit links in the main game thread for the highlights. the full game would be way to large to use you send it
btw, thanks R2K. i loved the highlights with the formal intro/pre game. just wish there was more of the power dancers in the black outfit...
Hey R2K, Heydude thank you for such great work I love the highlights more than the actual games.. (im part of the MTV generation) haha J
Thinking idly, I just don't understand why these highlight clips aren't getting tens of thousands of hits. This situation of Chinese torrents vs R2K torrents have been gone over before, and I'm not trying to portray it a competition or anything (because it really isn't). But I've never seen anyone else do a highlight clip like R2K does them. They are pretty unique. And these highlights have a vastly longer shelf-life and replay value than actual games. Most people will probably watch the majority of games one time, two or three if it was a good one, and possibly more if it was a classic. But these highlights... these highlights are so much more replayable and compact, that I'll watch them dozens of times throughout the course of a year. It just seems to me that these highlights should be more popular than they already are.
I concur... I think the highlights are quite popular but not immediately after the game I see people leeching highlights weeks, months afterwards. To be honest the highlights have been so good I dont feel the need to watch the whole game. has anyone tried saving these games onto a standard DVD disk? how many games usually fit on one disk? J
hightlights of the game is average about 50 M and a DVD disk can hold about 4.7 G (1 G=1000Mb), so you can caculate the number.
Is it the same highlight vid as the one in this thread? "Extended edition highlights and notable footage from the home opener v KIngs" Thanks for the Highlight vid R2k also thanks to the people that put them on yousendit
yes, they are the same my seed is always active until I have a good number of other seeds online...which means that there is a seed active, and it was active at the time of your post You must be patient during the first twelve hours since Im the only seed. that would be great drox...I would appreciate it. gotta say...you and mcable deserve much props for helping out with tech support on these when I dont really have time to answer...thanks.
