That's the thing, I don't think the Eagles rely on him, it's McNabb and the defense they rely on. The Eagles made it to 3 straight NFC title games without T.O. and they made it through last year's playoffs and to the Super Bowl without him as well. Now McNabb is hurt and the defense is stuck in a rut searching for some type of identity. This is why they are struggling. If McNabb was healthy and the defense played to their level I think they would be undefeated as well.

I thought, as soon as I heard, McNabb should have taken time off and had the surgery and came back in six weeks because Koy Detmer has proven to be a pretty reliable backup. An injured McNabb is proving to be very costly to the Eagles season so far and I am having doubts that they will make the playoffs.

That he shouldn't be complaining. His touches are dependent upon 2-3 other people.

He has a case of the "I'm overrated" syndrome.

Injuries you mean. Sports hernia is the worst, it's going to require surgery and an absence of up to 8 weeks. Then there was the chest contusion, the shin bruise, and now he has a rib injury.

No doubt that is why they are struggling. But even if McNabb and the d were up to par, they would still be relying on TO. Yeah, they won without TO, but they also found out they couldn't get over the hump with the crap they had at wideout, or did you forget? With one of their big 3 on offense now ailing, you bet they have to rely on TO now more than ever to stay competitive.

shouldn't he care about winning more? not to say he should be complaining about anything because he shouldn't but you make it sound like he should be happy to have his stats, and that its an option not to throw to him. Who the hell else are they gonn throw to?

What hump are you talking about? I always thought it was the NFC title game which they won last year without...surprise...Terrell Owens, he was injured or did you forget that? If you're talking about the Super Bowl he played and even though he was their best player in that game they still lost. What hump are you referring to?

The long ball? Nobody. But I can count three of his TD receptions that came in the redzone. L.J. Smith, whether you would like to admit it or not, is having a career season this year and could have caught those 4-7 yard passes for TDs just as well as Owens.

You are right though, he should shut his mouth and concentrate on winning football games.

    lol, actually I did. :D

Still, last season TO helped that o click in a way it never has before. I've never seen a wr changing teams have that much impact on a team before.

A pass oriented team will never be able to win a ring with their best wrs being the ilk of Greg Lewis or Pinkston. Like it or not, Philly is depending on TO this year. Maybe they get what they need in the offseason to make him expendable(a wr1 that's not a nut, or a running game), but right now they are stuck with him if they want to have a shot at being successful.

I guess the Eagles realize that one person does not make the team...reports coming out of Philly say they have suspended Owens.

What are people in Philly saying about this situation. Are they tired of his BS yet? Do they want him traded, suspended, or what?

I'm not in Philly but I am a fan. I say trade him to the Texans, preferably for Andre Johnson and a draft pick. :D ;) I don't think too many teams want to touch Owens at the moment.

I think he is trying to get cut, so he can get a new deal elsewhere.
