Shaq just stepped on Artest's foot and from the looks of it on TV, it didnt look good. He could be out for a while.
My fantasy team just lost the season. Gonna start a new League on NBA.com if anybody wants in, let me know.
speaking of the heat. GP just took like 4 steps on a spin and no whistle, and suddenly it's a 1pt game with 1 min left.
And the Pacers hold on! Good road win. Sorry about Shaq, but Wade is the star of that team. This season will end the debate on why Wade was so awesome last year. It's because he is great, NOT because Shaq is on his team.
side note on seeing shaq and artest tonight. both of these guys put on weight in the offseason and called it muscle. seeing shaq, it looks like he sat around and ate donuts this offseason. if you call the weight shaq put on muscle, tony siragusa is the most ripped man on the planet. on the other hand, artest looked like a brick wall. unbelievable. he put on about 15 pounds of REAL muscle and didn't lose any quickness or lateral speed whatsoever. artest is going to be on the 1st team all-nba if the press actually watch him play and forget about the fight. ron is just unbelievable, the pacers would be IDIOTS to trade him, and i have a feeling larry bird isn't going to be doing that anytime soon.
Even if Shaq can't play TNT will still be hyping the Shaq vs Yao angle at the upcoming Rox vs Heat game next Thursday.
Man I really hope that Shaq plays on the 10th. If he doesn't it will be a damn shame. I look forward to every one of their match-ups. I'm sure the basketball fans all over the planet do. Especially this year. How much has Yao actually improved??? The way he has been looking I would love to see him play Shaq right now (and I am confident that he will out-play if not dominate the diesel). After that the media will be riding his Jock all over the place and the Yao haters could finally STFU. Of course if Shaq does not play none of this can happen.
With his playoff woes last year, I don't think it's too presumptuous to say that this looks like the beginning of the end of Shaq's dominance and career. Sure, he will hang around a few more years collecting that fat check, but he will be injured more often than not.
Even though the game was close by the end, the Pacers impressed me and the Heat didn't. Of course, Wade was all world, I absolutely love his game. Nevertheless, the Pacers are a load, they are very quick, smart, and highly skilled. They are my pick to represent the East. Artest is scary in the stands, but he is really scary on the court. He may be crazy, but the boy can seriously play the game. I hated to see Shaq injured, but I don't think it is a major injury, the x-rays were negative
