Yeah. Phoenix could have won in regulation or 1st OT,if they ever heard of defense. Phoenix will never learn.

Nope. But they werent the ones up big in both instances with just a few minutes left, were they? All Phoenix had to do was get 1 or 2 defensive stops during that stretch and they failed in both instances.

The Mavs still have no CLUE on how to defend the PnR. I would think after getting schooled by the Rox last year they would try and learn.

With that type of defense, Yao and T-Mac could drop fifty each on them.

Not much has changed for them on offense either. Key to stopping them is limiting Dirk by putting a quick long player on him and stopping all their little guys from penetrating. They still have no inside game. 2nd worst center in the league has shown no improvement.

On a couple of sequences down the stretch in regulation, I saw Dirk and Terry (or was it Armstrong) switch on a pick and roll so that Dirk ended up guarding Nash. There was no reason whatsoever to switch, and Nash didn't drive the ball or anything so they could have easily switched back. But no, they had Dirk on Nash during critical possessions. Allas just doesn't get it.

Suns' offense sucks without Amare. Mavs flat out sux. Had the Suns had Amare tonite, Suns would have won by 20+.

damn i got screwed so hard...i bet suns vs mavs to score under 214 and they hadnt even scored that much in the first OT. When I saw it was going to double OT i knew it wasnt my lucky day.

I am beginning to believe more and more that the Suns will still make some noise this season. I fully thought that after the trades, and especially without Amare they would be stomped on by a very good Mavericks team. Taking them to double overtime with the lineup they are using was way more than I could have thought. Rockets fans be sure to keep one eye on Phoenix this season. If Amare comes back to even half of his former self they will be damn good.

I'd like to thank you for not giving away the score/winner in the thread title. Seriously, I just finished watching the game and am thankful for the BBS not giving away the winner.

Both teams played damn well. W/o Amare, Dallas beating PHX in PHX in double OT sounds about right.

Hmm.. No Joe Johnson, Raja < Q, Marion is a noshow in playoffs, Nash is a year older and even if he wasn't, last years performance is hard to top, Amare has the same injury which ruined Pennys and Webbers game, their defense doesn't look like it has improved much, Their bench is only marginally better etc.

James Jones has been predicted Most Improved player this year by the "experts". He might have to play like MVP if the Suns wan't to contend this year.

Losing only little to Dallas is no accomplishment. They aren't gonna be better than last year. Love Doug Christie's stats line btw: 25 minutes, 0 points, 2 rebounds :D I'm sure he declares himself the best shooting guard in the west next week :p
