Boy, you sure got him on a technicality! When was the last time you were bitter towards a Democrat? Jimmy Carter?
Pat Buchanan on MSNBC right now mentioning that Senator Reid is most likely asking (in the current closed session) about the Niger forgery and how it apparently came through the White House (Cheney's office via the Office of Special Plans via JINSA Israel first neocon operative Douglas Feith at the Pentagon and the White House Iraq Group - WHIG which Bamford also discusses in 'A Pretext for War')
This scandal didn't pan out? Au contraire mon ami, this is and will be the scandal that keeps on giving. Combine this with the other Bush Admin blunders- trying to privatize Social Security (How'd that work out?) Katrina Response Ongoing Iraqi debacle etc. And you get what we have now- a hobbled president who can't push through his first choice for the Supreme Court, or even strip away minimum wage protections for reconstruction workers on the Gulf Coast. I mean c'mon, Bush in his prime would have rammed through the Gulf Coast wage cut before his morning coffee.
The scandal that keeps on giving? Eternal optimism at its finest. There were no indictments on anything related to the ORIGINAL investigation. It's like a murder investigation where no murder actually took place.
Amazing. So the Dems just found out that the intel was "sexed up" to "fit around the policy"? Pathetic.
What is pathetic is that the Republican Congress is refusing to bring any oversight on a Republican White House.
Actually what is pathetic is that Congress has a country to run. They have progress to make. The liberals are impeding that progress by wanting to re-debate the Iraq war. They want to stall progress and look backwards. How does this help Americans going forward? It doesn't. It's a political stunt that is hoping to grab headlines. The liberals are trying to do their best to break our nation's will to fight and WIN the Iraq war. Pathetic. I hope they are happy to be the terrorists' teammates in the propaganda war.
Oversight is one of Congress's responsibilities. Its their job. Its what we are paying them to do. Asking Congressto do their job is a Good Thing (tm).
Too bad indeed, if they had then America wouldn't have to put up with four more years of Bush. But, Rove made the election about homo-bashing and state referendums on gay marriage carried the day for the Bush administration. Oh well, I can say that the republicans will DEFINITELY be feeling the effects of this administration for some time to come.
Lil t, You have no will to fight or win this war. The closest you've come to Iraq is jock sniffing the soldiers.
Harry Reid is on tv now trying to explain why he did what he did. He's making a fool of himself, dodging questions, and bumbling along groping for answers. You should have heard his reponse to why he didn't consult Senator Frist about this stunt. Reid's response, "errr ahh... errr INDICTMENTS!". What a fool. This is totally a political stunt, motivated by the Alito nomination and simple liberal frustration by having no governmental power.
Sorry TJ, but in my opinion the war in Iraq is already lost. It was lost because it was never winnable do to the bungling of the current administration. Last time I checked it was still permissable to disagree with the government. When people who disagree are called unpatriotic, that is when we cease to be a democracy and become a facist regime.
this is hilarious, if this was just a publicity stunt, we wouldn't have all our resident wingnuts so hyper - it really is amusing to watch back to reality (this means you wingnuts should leave the conversation now) it is about time Democrats grew a spine and held the Republican Congress' to accountability, I am very impressed by Reid's statement
What this country really needs is more patriots like you. tj- He'll fight to the last drop of someone else's blood. And he wields a deadly roll eyes emoticon!
