Martz would not be a good fit for Houston... he's like a Dom version 2.0. Gary Kubiak all the way.

    Exactly, we need Kubiak.

Kubiak is the man. Carr could do wonders in that Denver offense. Jake the Snake is having a career year and Carr has a lot more upside than him. And think about DD. I think I could rush for 1,000 yards in that offense. AJ would be the next Rod Smith.

The best thing is that you know Kubiak would make the O-line the first priority. He's smart enough to know that everything revolves around the O-line. Look at the line he's had in Denver the last 10 years.

Never really liked Martz as a coach, but any change might be an upgrade from Dom.

Let's bring Jeff Fisher back to Houston!!!

Here's why we don't want Martz:

No Torry Holt. No Marc Bulger. No Isaac Bruce. No problem. Rams interim coach Joe Vitt smartly was the anti-Mike Martz, banging Steven Jackson all day long against the Jaguars in a 24-21 victory. Jackson shoved the ball down Jacksonville's throat for 179 rushing yards. The second-year back also rumbled into the end zone after receiving a Jaime Martin pass for the go-ahead score. This is the type of gutty, overachieving, pound-it-out win the Rams didn't get with Martz. This is an example why another organization should stay clear of interviewing Martz when he is let go at the end of the season. For St. Louis to be 4-4 with all of its injuries and drama is flat-out impressive.

I think the most important thing for the Texans future is saving Carr. Martz's system would do that easily. Warner was a nobody as was Bulger before they played in his system. Martin continues to perform well in his second stint replacing Bulger in the system, even without Holt, Bruce et al. IMO it is much easier to rebuild a defense in a short amount of time, so let him fix the offense first. If he does and our defense sucks then you can fire him and bring in a defensive coach ala Dungy's move to Indy. Whether or not you feel there are holes in Martz's coaching, he'd at least make us a playoff team with an explosive offense (Carr, Davis, and Johnson are plenty for him to work with).

I don't see Martz getting a head coach job anywhere considering his health and his underachieving teams. I'd love to have him as an offensive coordinator though.

I dont like Martz either but at least he'll make the team's offensive more fun to watch than

    run 1st down
    run 2nd down
    sack 3rd down
    punt 4th down

    system under Dom

    Terrible.

The only thing this offense has going for it is the running game. Martz abandons the running game in the middle of the first quarter.

Yeah, well here's Martz's system with our current team.

    sack 1st down
    sack 2nd down
    interception 3rd down

    or the alternate

    sack 1st down
    sack and fumble 2nd down
burn 2 timeouts on the first posession of each half
burn up all timeouts before the 2 minute warning

    sack
    fumble
    interception
    run out of time

He's the worst coach in the NFL.

I don't like Martz either, poor choice, although I agree we need a Jack Pardee like system to rejuvenate the team. There's no hope here anymore. And you gotta have that.
