I moved into my house in spring of 2001. Halloween of that year, I got about 20 trick or treaters.

The number has been steadily dropping each year.

Last year I got a total of 6 trick or treaters.

Do y'all get alot of trickortreaters, or hardly any?

We end up going to my sister's neighborhood every year, because there are virtually no other trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood. it's really kinda sad.

We get more than 100 every year. We live in one of those neighborhoods where people drive too. I don't get too upset since they could use a little extra - plus we drive to even better neighborhoods for the really good stuff (happy meal certs, free frostys, goodie bags with 10 houses worth of good candy in 1)!

New subdivision...more homes being built=more families coming around.

We even get the professional trick or treaters...the ones that come around with 100 kids in a mini van and they all pile in and out when they see a house with the lights on.

This will be my first Halloween in my current house in Missouri City, so I really can't say. I assume there will be a lot.

My last house, between Alief and Sugar Land close to Kempner HS, was different. My wife and I really went all out a couple of years ago decorating the front for the trick-or-treaters even getting a fog machine for the front porch. We didn't get one person all night. I went outside at one point, and the street was completely dead (no pun intended) with not one other porch light turned on.

I think the reason we don't get a whole lot of trickortreaters is because I live in such an old neighborhood. All the houses were built in the mid-50s, and many of the people in the neighborhood have been living in their houses for 30+ years. All their kids are grown up, and not a whole lot of new families have been moving into the neighborhood.

Here in Timbergrove, we get very few ToT'ers (probably less than 10).

We usually take our daughter up to her grandma and grandpa's house in Tomball where there are a bazillion ToT'ers.

I live in an older part of Clear Lake. I will probably get around 10.

Brand New subdivision with about 100 homes. My neighbor told me last year he had five or six. I suppose the number will be higher this year since more homes are completed. But with another subdivision with about two hundred homes across the street, I figured there would have been more last year. I have six bags of candy bars ready, if they do not come, I will polish them off myself. ;)

Apartment. 5 kids tops. This will be my third Holloween here. The first year I didn't get any kids. Last year I got a group of 4 or 5 and it caught me off-guard. I ended up having to give them breakfast bars.

If I buy a boat load of candy, none. If I don't buy any candy, at least 100.

Happens every freaken time, so I just buy the candy and snack on it for a few months.

Didn't get any last year, my first as a homeowner. My neighborhood is full of 1st time homeowners and empty-nesters so we don't have a lot of kids.

That's why I got one bag of mini butterfingers. Each kid that comes to my door gets one in his or her bag. When I run out, the porch light goes off. If I have leftovers, they go in the freezer.
