He is not done...... No way..... Do you guys not remember last years postseason when Mariano Rivera... whom I loathe cuz hes a freakin Yankee.. blew 2 saves against the Red Sox... hell he blew game 7 of the world series.....Lidge did not lose a series at least....we still refer to Mariano Rivera as the most dominant postseason closer of all time... and even hes blown em.. Lidge is as dominant as they come....he will be back hes got 3 months plus to forget about it before we try this all over again. Go astros.... Thank you for the memories

I'm not naysaying Lidge, but his meltdown is very reminiscent of another former Phillie and Astro - Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams. He didn't fare that well in the playoffs and who could forget that bomb that Joe Carter launched off of him in the World Series.

I'm sure Lidge will bounce back next season and continue to turn the lights out.

maybe there should be another thread about how ensberg couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the swing of his bat? that's a joke, people. lay off of lidge, though. he's still the man.

I think Lidge has been hurt for the past few weeks. This totally reminds of the Wagner injury in 2000 where he refused to admit he was hurt and kept blowing saves. Never lost velocity, so you couldn't really tell.
