I'm trying to find out how many believers are still out there. Vote with your heart, or vote with your brain. Let's see who still believes.
My heart says Astros in 7, and it will continue to say that until they are eliminated. My brain says Sox in 5. Backe will deny them the sweep tonight, but Clemens will not be able to go tomorrow night, and the Sox will shell Wandy.
We haven't made it easy all year, so why start now. When we win tonight, it will give us a little confidence, and will be a slight blow to the CWS momentum. The real swing will be Game 5 when Roger pitches on one leg and we pull out a stirring one run win. When the series returns to Chicago, all the focus and pressure will be on them, and we will steal Game 6 with Andy pitching another brilliant game there. By the time Game 7 rolls around, the entire city of Chicago will be wanting to jump in the lake because we will have done the impossible when Roy O atones and we bring back the World Series trophy to Texas. It is because I say it so...........
i agree, i think the sox will prob be too exhausted in the pen so we should take this one tonight, but i doubt clemens is going tomorrow, so i voted sox in 5... although boston pulled it out last year after being down 0-3, so there is still a shot.
Not all of us. I'm was one of the 6 who picked the Socks in 4. They were a better team. Their clutch pitching was better. Their hitting was better. Their strategy was better. They beat us across the board. Now, the Astros did put up a fight - the Socks weren't THAT much better. There were a few occasions where one pitch could have saved a victory for us. I would have liked to at least seen the Astros win one game. Losing is one thing. Being swept is embarrassing.
The Sux were not a better team than the Cards, and we beat them. I wish I could go into other issues with the Sux, but I, unfortunately, have to go sleepy. Look..... As much as I hate to say it, the better team won. You don't get swept unless GOD says so.
