A pizza delivery? ($) Haircut? ($) Restraunt? (%)* Fast food brought to you? ($) [Sonic, etc.] *assuming good service
20-25% depending on the server. But now, I'm going to be getting cheap. I'm really low on cash thanks to $289 worth of OD, NSF, and general fees from my bank!
pizza - we pick up. Haircut - $3 restaurant - 15% base (more for outstanding service. Less for poor service)
I always tip exactly $2.00 for pizza, haircuts, or any other food delivery. I think that's right on, sometimes even a little generous because of how close some of the places are. At a restaurant, it's $2.00 at the very least - I go with 18-19 % a lot of the time.
15% for almost all normal wait service (poor to good), more for excellent service occasionally. For the most part, I just imagine that 15% is tacked onto the bill, like in other countries. In my mind, this helps to eliminate any silly games regarding my opinion of service and so forth (i really only expect that the server is minimally courteous, and that the food and bill are brought in a somewhat timely manner. everything else, i don't care). so presumably, everyone is somewhat happy--I don't have to fuss over the strange system of server wages, and servers get a standard tip regardless of poor or good service.
How much do you tip at a buffet when all they do is get your drinks and clear your plates? You get up and get everything yourself.
Pizza, pick up Haircut, $5 Restraunt, 20% Fast food brought to you, don't eat fast food, if i did, it would be 0.
resturant: depends, the service, how many people, the place, but most likely $5 for 2-3 person even thought I'm a student, and don't have a job, and poor. Haircut: Depends, if they mess up my hair, then don't even say tiping, i would get really mad, and crazy. If I really like the way it looks after cutted, then 10-20 dollars.
Whoa. Are you getting $100 haircuts or are you just a great tipper. Either way, I think I found out the reason of why you are so poor.
Haircut 20% my barber only charges $10 and I always leave an extra $2. Restraunt if the service is good 20-25%, if it is bad 10-15% Fast food brought to you 15%
food delivery - always $2.00 i cut my own hair restaurant - usually about 20%. if its really piss-poor service than less and conversely, if its great than 25-30%. bar - i usually give a dollar each trip to the bar. if its a surly bartender than i dont tip at all or just give the quarter or two i get back.
Restaurant - 15-20% (more for really good service) Haircut or Pizza - at least 15%; whatever makes it come out to a nice round number where they can keep the change. Fast food brought to you - are you really supposed to tip for this? They don't seem to expect it.... thoughts? Buffet - 10% or maybe a little more. That's another good question. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do.
I usually try to do at least 15% at restaraunts, but often around 25%. However, I went to waffle house by myself the other day and my total was about $6.77 and i just left the guy a ten dollar bill. I do stuff like that a lot. I don't tip at Sonic...please, I do harder work than those chicks for minimum wage and don't get tipped. I don't tip when I get my hair cut, either. When I'm at the bar, it just depends on how buzzed I am...but I consider myself a good tipper at the places I tip.
