Came home today and my ****ing mutt tore up about a two square foot section of our carpet right next to the bedroom door. Anyone have any idea how much it'll cost to replace?

Oh, and I might have a dog if anyone wants it.

You can get it patched fairly cheeply, 100-200 bucks and you won't be able to notice if the guy knows what he is doing.

My experience is that carpet is relatively inexpensive. But you didn't state if you were going to replace the whole BR or just try to patch in a section. The latter is pretty tough if the carpet is older and/or dirty from wear. I have a rental property and did 864 sq feet for $1700. So conservatively figure $3.00/sq ft for the whole BR. (The rate gets lower as the footage goes up).

Sounds like that carpet muncher needs some discipline.

Yeah its best if you kept some of the carpet from before. If not try to find that carpet or something closest and find someone that knows what they are doing.

Replacing it completely would be pointless unless you really want to. New carpet usually starts around $1.25/sf installed with pad.
