What are your opinions of the following shows NightStalker Surface Invasion Threshold I've been watching them . . .somewhat Surface and Invasion moreso than the others Rocket River not overly impressed
You should have put Battlestar Galactica. I don't watch it, but it seems to get rave reviews and has a strong following.
They used to have a show that was a kind of tales from the crypt/outer limits type of show I think it was called Night Terrors or something, but cant remember.. I really liked that show, but Sci Fi canceled that thing after a few shows..
I think RR was refering to the 'rest' as the shows NOT on Sci-Fi Friday, Battlestar Galactica and the two Stargate shows. That said, I've never seen an episode of any of the shows listed. I don't give a sniff to most shows until I know that they will have legs and last for several seasons. And I agree, it was too bad about Firefly. You never know- it may show up on Sci-Fi as a new series soon.
Why is it that I don't recognize any of these shows? I'm an absolute Sci Fi fanatic, and have been since the late '50's. I guess I just don't surf channels as much as I used to. I finally got my wife to dig Rome, on HBO... that's as SF as she'll get! Wasn't there a great series a couple of decades ago called The Nightstalker?
BATTLESTAR owns just been watching the new series (never saw the original) and god damn is it good so good it actually inspired me to BUY season 1 instead of being a pirate and stealing it.
I don't get the sci-fi channel , but I've heard this show is really, really good. I am very much interested in watching it, but am curious why is it so good. Does it have continuity from episode to episode (like one long story)? Is it mainly a show about some kind of space war? Good character development? What makes it stand out.
Yes, It is the remake of the original series. The special effect is much much better than the original series of course. It is one continue story of the human colony against the robots they created. Oh, some of the robots looks very human.
