Well actually I think it's too soon to say. Having a PG that can get Yao the ball where he wants it at the right time is valuable. Very valuable. But don't discount the amount of improvement that Yao can bring about on his own end. If Yao is being assertive with his post moves and getting deep position, then that would be a tremendous boost to his performance. When he's played like that in the past, then it really didn't matter who else we had on the court. Also Juwan Howard has been VERY sharp on his entry passes from the high post so far this pre-season. And pairing up an athletic finisher like Stro and a great interior passer like Yao is going to help both of their games. After Stro throws it down a couple of times off Yao passes, then the double teams will be a bit more reluctant from the PF side. There's plenty of credit to be had, and it's a bit early to toss it in any one direction.
So much for Moochie getting a second chance. I read somewhere that Moochie was given a fresh start this season to prove himself. Guess he hasn't impressed JVG. Poor guy, he seems to want it bad, I noticed at the open practice that he was very vocal and often yelled at Head to run the plays he was calling (he yelled at Head for not swinging the ball fast enough on several occassions). If he's not going to play, at least we have another cheerleader Also, I have pics from the pratice but don't know how to post them. I can e-mail them to someone who can. Peace.

Great that JVG is experimenting with the rotation. T-Mac at PG will be a success, he proved that last year by being arguably the best ball handler we had on the team last year. Same philosopy as last year except, put the best guys on the floor, we replaced a slow SG in JJ with T-Mac and leveraged DW at the SG and got twice as good. I wish JVG would experiment with SS at center and Juwan at PF to have both on the floor at the same time and see if we have some success with that as well. I think that would be an excellent small team combination.
He has already. It's worked OK so far. I said earlier this could be a great way to reduce Deke's minutes during the season to keep him fresh.
t-mac mind will not be at the game today..he's thinking about the astros we all know how much he loves baseball
I'm not sure what he weighed last season, but he looks like he's gained at least 5 lbs. of muscle. And if he's really playing the 3 most of the time, as he has been with us, then he's going to put it to good use.
Tmac and Yao played pick and rolls in game 2 last season, remember the pick from Yao and then Tmac draining the game winner with 2 tics left...
i think it's good he put on weight. especially if it's muscle. it will keep him healthierand less prone for injuries. he did look at least 215-220 last year. and one day they will actually list him at 6'9 because he's closer to that than 6'8.
after watching these preseason games when stro is playing, I think it will be Stromile doing the passing to Yao for easy dunks. the dude can pass... We will be deadly when this cluster **** becomes more disciplined and rotations are set. This team has a player for every situation it seems to me. the ability to match up with anyone in any situation is pretty amazing. And I do mean anyone. Those blocks by Stro on Duncan were legitimate... This team can shut San Antone down as much as any team can.
And now he has knee problems...guys who play ball like T-mac are better off being light - every few pound he adds is another 50 pounds on those precious joints when he comes down from those thunderous dunks.
