Hey guys ... I didn't mean to step on any toes. Biggie, I will send you my info, but let it be known that I do not want to replace anyone that still wants to play.

That event is on Sunday. Gives us another day to get everyone to confirm too.

Hey guys, I had a marathon day of sports yesterday. I played basketball from 2-3:30 at UH, then had a flag football game from 4-5, and then topped that off by letting my friend drag me out to a dodgeball league from 7-9.

Well, I think I slightly sprained my left ankle in the flag football game because I can hardly move it today, and I slammed my right elbow into the wall during dodgeball, so I'm not sure what the chances are that I could play tomorrow. I know Josh really wants to practice though, so probably if nothing else we'll both show up and I'll just sit out. We'll see though. Just specify a concrete time and place and we'll let you know.

NEVERMIND: I have a playoff flag football game tomorrow so if my ankle can handle it, I'm going to save all I've got for that.

    Hey Biggie,

I was going to IM or email you about this, but I thought I should do it in front of everyone since this is where I started it all anyway.

I wanted to apologize for my post the other day. I'll make a long story short, but I have been going through some things personally that have really gotten to me. Obviously, it put me in the worst of moods the other day and that, coupled with a BIG misunderstanding of some things you have posted recently, just kind of lit the match, so to speak, and I said a lot of things I didn't mean.

Rush and I talked briefly this weekend and he filled me in on what I had misunderstood and shed some light on a thing or two that I didn't know about previously.

Anyway, again, I greatly and whole-heartedly apologize for being a complete a** and a dumba** for a) misunderstanding b) not finding out what was really going on before getting upset and c) letting it get me upset and do what I did.

As for me playing, I'd love to but since it's close to the deadline and YaoWink is ready and willing to play for you guys, I'll bow out and let him take my spot. I wanted to go out in a game-like situation and really go hard to test my knee out before I made a final decision anyway. But, I haven't been able to find the time or the people to do that.

So, again, I aplogize to you Biggie and the whole team for this mess I caused. I hope y'all kick some a** this season and hopefully my knees will allow me to join y'all again in the future.

I sprained my ankle severly seems like a while ago and I still to this day still get pain it when I drop off it a certain way or come down the wrong way. When I sprained it, I was literally in bed for about a week. Lets hope you will be ready to play sooner rather than later.

Oh man, trust me I've been there and done that :(

About a year and a half ago I was playing at the park near my house and I went up for a baseline jumper during a game of 21 and a dude ran out on me and crowded my shot. Of course, I came right down on his foot and there goes the ankle. I heard a loud snap and everything. I grabbed for it and rolled around in pain for a few seconds before I decided to try and stand. By the time I was standing, and no more than 20 seconds after it initially happened, my ankle was swollen to the size of a pretty good sized orange. My stupid-ass actually thought for a second that I could finish the game and I tried for a couple of plays before I realized how bad it really was.

I would have gone to the emergency room but I had tickets to see Doug Stanhope do stand up at the Improv and I wasn't going to miss it. Of course, I procrastinated every day after that and never actually went to get it looked at. So I'm not 100% sure what it was, but my mom is a nurse and her diagnosis was a severe sprain. Like you I was basically immobile for a week as the swelling subsided only to make way for some nasty discoloration. I didn't even so much as jog for at least a month after the incident, and to this day I don't have the same range of motion in my left ankle that I had before. Probably not so good that I hurt the same ankle again.

But THIS time it's nothing in comparison. This hurts but it's not swollen or anything. Just might not be such a great idea to push it more than I have to.

I just remembered, I actually have a couple of pictures of the discoloration on my foot a week after I messed it up. You can definitely still see swelling, but remember this was a whole week after so the swelling is actually not bad at all from where it was initially.

It hurts just to look at those again

How about you guys make 2 teams that can go into the league and perform. I am saying this because there are a lot of people showing interest in playing, like me. If you guys can manage it and if its not too late to register, then i think we can make a second team. What do you guys think?

I can only speak for myself but I think it's too late for that. Registration ends on Tuesday and we're having enough trouble just getting money from the returning members, much less enough to make 2 teams.

Hey guys I don't know what's going on but supposedly we have another Playoff game tomorrow. I wasn't able to confirm with marcus but I called the YMCA and they said that they confirmed us for a game tomorrow at 8:10 tomorrow.

    Hey Biggie,

I got your calls but I was in the middle of lunch with my parents. Sorry I didn't call back. I'm sure I'll be able to make it to the game but I'm not sure I'll be able to play, considering my ankle and the fact that I'm probably about to go tear it up some more playing in this flag football game. But, from the sound of what that ref told us last Monday, it seems like Josh could take my place if that's ok. What do you think of that?

I've called again this morning and I left a voicemail with Marcus Carter the coordinator. Hopefully he'll be able to shed some light on the situation.
