Actually, of the final 4 teams, they have the highest team average (.272 to the White Sox .263) and have scored as many runs as Chicago (albeit in more games).

We have the potential to be a top defensive unit. I think Biggio still plays a couple more years. Best of all, from top to bottom, we have a unit that exhibits the personality of their coach - Scrap Iron. Players who are there for all 9 innings (or 18 if necessary).

Our farm system is not loaded, but it's also not depleted.

I just can't think of many teams that are more balanced right now than the Astros. Big credit should be thrown Purpora's way.

If you wish for a better team, tell me what assets of these you are willing to give up to improve it? Would you have taken the Dunn deal and traded away Backe (game 4 winner), Lane (game 6 HR), etc? Would you have given up the best closer in baseball?

Yes...Plan B worked.....I don't know how or why.....but who gives a rat's ass....i worked and I couldn't be happier.

I just sent an email to the NY Mets telling them to let Beltran know he can buy my WS tickets....for 120 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
