I have my girlfriend and the rest of her family watching with me. I don't think they've lost a game since we started that. I think I'm slowly converting them from Yankees fans (we live in New York) to Astros fans. I told my girlfriend that today, and she goes, "Yeah, I know...but it's only because we don't have anyone to cheer for."

Either way, I won't get out of work until about 9 or 9:15 Eastern tomorrow, so I hope that we can still pull it out...

My Astros ritual applies to the Rockets as well: I CANNOT wear a jersey of either team on game night. Every time I do, they lose. I must therefore only wear said jersey on an off-day. My 'Stros cap seems to be immune to any sort of curse.

I bought 2 Rockets shirts after we won 2 games from SA during the '95 playoffs. I wore them to the 2 games at home.. lost both. I refused to wear them ever since that year.... (that did it!)

I wore my Astros Jersey/shirt for Game 1... (been on the other shirt since, although I only wear it during game day because I refuse to wash it just yet. I keep my house as cold as possible and actually shower before I put on the shirt nowadays, right before the game starts)

If I'm watching at home, I light all the candles in my den and light incense too.

Last night my buddy turned the stereo up for the 9th - so what happens 1st and 3rd no outs ~ he promptly turned the volume back down...

    GAME OVER. :D

I also have my playoff beard growing.

I pretend I'm Nomar and go into the bizarre ritual of adjusting my batting gloves every time berkman comes up to bat... ok, jk on the last part. :)

Don't you get a lag between the radio and tv? The radio is always like a second earlier, so it ruins the suspense on tv.

Since I am going to the game tonight, this superstition is going to be put to the test. I watch the first 2 innings in my apartment, after the last out of the inning I get in my car and drive to my friend's house where the whole gang is there watching the game.

I wore my Clemens shirt to the game Saturday and my husband made me wear it again yesterday. I'm pretty sure he'll make me wear it again tonight.

I was afraid to say it, but I had to go play tennis with the VP of my company Monday for the first innings or so. I was afraid to get that one "lucky" shirt all stunk up and decided to let it be for a game. Needless to say, I won't take that chance in game 6. I wear that shirt before the game starts and change afterwards. The shirt is now 6-0 this postseason!!!

I shaved my playoff beard once we lost game 5. I had been growing it since we won game 2.

After years of watching the Astros lose, this year I figured out it was all my fault. In past years when I watched the games they would always lose. When I didnt watch, they would win. Obviously I watched more games that I didnt. So this year to fool the baseball gods, I would turn on the TV and lay down, eyes closed an simply listen to the game. It did the trick! The only game I watched was game 5 and we all know how that ended.

Same here, I haven't shaved since the night before the 18-inning game... and I won't shave until the series is over, which is petty sad since I'm 26 and have the facial hair equivalent of your average 16 year old. Its not pretty, but so far it has been effective!

During the NLCS I refused to watch the tv when Poo-holes was up to bat. Of course, I DID watch his last at bat of game 5 because it was potentially the out that sent us to the World Series.

I blame no one but myself for that loss. But I was a good boy and turned my back to the tv last night every time he was up... :D
