MIKE JONES is coming to my college town.... he's performing with Paul Wall and Slim Thug and supposedly shooting his new video too... 20 bucks for tickets... any of you guy ever see the guys live? so hyped
I saw Mike Jones in concert up here in Lubbock during the summer. Slim Thug was also his special guest. Tickets were also around 20 bucks I forget exactly how much it was... I'd be cautious. The concert sucked. The opening acts were terrible. MJ was about an hour and a half late. Once he got there he was on stage for no more than 20 minutes. He never finished one song just bounced around from song to song. When he said he was done everybody around me was like "are you serious?" Slim Thug might as well have not been there as he didnt say one word all he did was just nod his head to the music. I'm thinking MJ might put on a better show since it is in Houston. But I'd be prepared for a disspointment. Let me know how it is. Also Chamillionaire is coming up here November 18th. I already have some tickets I'm hoping he puts on a better show.
I know this about Mike Jones but I got this jr high picture of Paul Wall from a hip hop forum. see if you can find waldo
Ha they might be that was my 2nd one. I went to one about a month prior for 2livecrew! now that was a show. Middle age women dancing on stage reliving the 1980s. All good stuff
A 2 Live Crew show is tough to beat. I don't think Mike Jones (WHO?) is exactly known for his live performances, but hey, I bet it beats watching tv.
the thing that surpises me is the venue... he'd playing at a club downtown...one of my boys handles all of that clubs celebrity guests so I might actually get to party with them before and after the show...
I doubt it. TV has the potential to be at least mildly entertaining. Live rap shows are a joke. I've been a rap/hip-hop fan since the early 80's, but could never fathom seeing a live show. I just don't see any entertainment value in watching some dude and 2 dozen of his homies that I could give 2 ****s about, walking around on stage simply rapping. Show me something original or dare I ask, artistic.
