So, after over a decade of following the NBA, I finally have tickets to see my first game! I'll be seeing the Raptors play the 76ers at home on December 18th.

Yes, I will be seeing a crappy team from crappy seats in a crappy section, but I'm still pretty psyched! :D

It's just too bad I can't be in Toronto for the Raps-Rockets game on Jan.06. That would rule.

That's great! I remember my first game like it was yesterday.

    Dec. 29, 1994
Trailing the Golden State Warriors 124-123 with three seconds remaining, the Rockets need a miracle. Their prayers are answered by Vernon Maxwell. The Rockets guard is the beneficiary of a botched play when he finds his hands on the ball with the seconds winding down. Falling out of bounds, Maxwell turns and throws in an improbable three-pointer at the buzzer, leading to a wild Compaq Center celebration. “It lucked up being in my hands," Maxwell says. “I thought it (the shot) would be short, but it went in."

    Amazing game.

I went to a couple of games when I lived in Houston. It's great to get a chance to see it live, see a true American spectacle which can be quite different from events in Europe. I went to Magic's last game against the Rox in the 1996 playoffs, best game I've seen live. Got a free gallery furniture t-shirt with a big Rockets logo on the front, still have it today!

1970 Hofeinz Pavillion, Rockets vs Milwaukee Bucks.

The one thing I remember is, Lew Alcindor/Kareem Jabbar had to duck down to walk down the tunnel that led to the court. Tallest Human being (by far) that I had ever seen. And that Oscar Robertson was a helluva player.

fadeaway, make sure you keep your eyes wide open and enjoy the game because before you know it, it's over...time never flew by so fast as my first NBA game, I couldn't believe how short it felt.

    Wow, congrats.

My first live game was a 1997 matchup against the Washington Bullets. Haven't been since the Smeggy World Tour though.
