Why does the media treat athletes like fragile little creatures that crumble at the first sign of adversity? Yes, the Astros lost game 5. BFD. Are they supposed to be in panic mode? They still have 2 games to get one win with Roy and Roger pitching. This is a team that was 15 games below .500. Do you really think that they're so emotionally fragile that there's no way they can bounce back? I just can't understand why the media is already putting the Cards in the world series after game 5. Yes, it was a heartbreaking loss but it was ONLY a loss. And the last time I checked, the Cards had lost 3 times in this series and we had only lost 2.
Because they need a story and it's the best thing they can talk about and angle perfectly into a nice drama.
